I will see if I can open it this time so if you can resend it that would be great. If I have no luck I will ring printers, explain the situation and get an email address for you.

Cheers for the help

Perhaps at this time of turmoil, some gentle haiku may help soothe troubled waters.

Haiku is one of the most important forms of traditional Japanese poetry. Formalized in the 1890s by the great master Masaoka Shiki, it is both difficult and easy to write because of its simple structure and commonplace themes and language, much as Go is both easier and harder to play than chess.

A cup of hot tea —
Jasmine calms the troubled soul.
Your fanzine is late.

Three things are certain:
Death, taxes, and late fanzine.
Guess which has occurred.

A file that big?
It might be very useful.
But will not open.

Fanzine's poor progress
Not quick enough for Sheffield.
Timed out, plum blossom.

Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and redo.
Fanzine shall return.

With searching comes loss
and the presence of absence:
"New Fanzine" not found.

The Fanzine you seek
cannot be located but
endless others exist

Stay the patient course
Of little worth is your ire
The fanzine is late

To have no fanzine
Would be life without meaning
No struggle, no joy

You step in the stream,
but the water has moved on.
Fanzine is not here.

Al, open the file
Al, open the damn file, Al
open the file, please Al

Having been delayed,
The fanzine you are seeking
Must now be redone.

The ten thousand things
How long do any persist?
Fanzine, too, is late.

Rather than a beep
Or a rude error message,
These words: "Fanzine late."

Er, sorry Richie...

I would just like to say, and this isn't patronising or a dig or anything, that I hope Richie has learnt one of the first and most important lessons in the business in which he hopes to succeed.

If a deadline is set and the buck stops with you then it is up to you to meet this deadline and any such failure to do so will result in people saying unpleasant things and posing searching questions.
