AKA ‘Whataboutism’ 😉
Sometimes 'Whataboutism' has a valid place if it's used to highlight viewpoints that have an agenda. It's hard to debate political issues in NSC, that's why I've not been on the threads so much. Too many folk defending or promoting parties and not considering issues with independent thought.

One of my best feelings of liberation was when I decided to drop any political affiliation in my thinking. I suddenly realised how I'd lost track of my own natural values.

The freeloader holding up the coaches is a disgrace. He should have been told to f***ing wait

OK, should anyone of importance, and I'd class any PM as important, get free tickets and free food? I believe he is a STH at Arsenal but has been upgraded for security.
1) he’s in the directors box, so a guest of a director. It’s their prerogative if they want to grant anyone access.

2) I’ve been in there as a guest once. There’s no option to pay, so it’s always free if you are invited.

Any club can invite anybody to be in a directors box. We don't know if brighton or arsenal invited him.

Same. I dabble a bit, but have dialled it down considerably and plan to do so even more. Apart from one, maybe two, posters there is nothing remotely thought provoking….virtually every response is the poster’s expected position supported with a slew of links. The only thing which has changed over the past few years is a few of the cast when Labour won.

"Freebie maniac"? Every Prime Minister gets invited as an honoured guest to all sorts of events; it's part of the job. Do you imagine Winston Churchill wasn't a fan of a freebie?
Churchill saved the free world , starmer just likes freebies , do you think he would have gone to watch Crawley ?

Hardly famous compared to the PM and England manager

But it's where your interest lies, isn't it? You're into football so you know who the England manager is. It's not necessarily a question of levels of fame: merely what your own personal knowledge of the subject is.

Ask my Mum who replaced Southgate and she wouldn't have a clue but I reckon she'd recognise Angela Hartnett. Can you name the current Prime Minister of Australia without thinking too hard? No doubt plenty of Australians couldn't name ours (then again we do seem to change it every eighteen months so you can't blame them) or who have a clue who Thomas Tuchel is.
