When everyday people who march or voice their concerns over the flood of Illegal immigrants is met with police with riot shields and arrests are made of peaceful protesters then freedom of speech has gone . Similar protests by those supporting the ILLEGAL immigrants were treated with kid gloves . I am NOT referring to right wing groups , just normal people who have had enough .

I personally have sympathy for REAL refugees of wars , we have a large number of Ukrainians down here , but economic ILLEGAL migrants who all seem to be young men - we also had 500 of them down here , have no place in this country except through LEGAL channels - BEFORE arriving here not after . Other countries don`t put up with it why should we ?. We have become the dumping ground for all and any that Europe doesn`t want .

Refugee Council figures, over 80% of those arriving across the Channel, are granted asylum.
Since July, asylum claims are actually being dealt with by staff who were moved from the failed Rwanda project, and 16,000 habe already been deported to their country of origin or a safe country.

Every political march is met by a police response to keep order. Can you provide examples of protestors who were entirely peaceful who were being arrested, as I will confess those totally passed me by. I saw loads of people being arrested for attacking the police, attacking buildings / the public, hate speech and various other illegal things, but saw absolutely nobody being arrested for simply being there and doing nothing.

I also don't recall any protests in favour of illegal immigration. Again, examples would be much welcomed.

Indeed, but were still arrested, tried and charged under existing laws, as stated on another thread.
