f*** the spades, get the bulldozers in.

Racist....

This looks like another example of absolutely whatever the club does people wanna moan about it!!! With health and safety laws as they are now you cannot allow a free for all on a major construction site, which it has now become and added to that there is no parking at all there.......if you wanna go, enter the ballot.....simple.

It is a bit strange. Anyway, which would you rather not miss - standing out in the pouring rain/freezing cold watching DK/whoever wield a spade in a field, or the first match in the finished, beautiful stadium.

Oh and Mendoza - quality. You win a Dick 'Willy Wonka' Knight Golden Ticket to the ceremony.

cheepers creepers what a load of wank some people spurt on here. The club can do nothing right for some of you. We should all be just pleased that there is progress given enough threads on NSC about this and that about Falmer.

If you don't happen to win in the ballot then so be it at least SOMETHING is happening we have all worked for. How about suggesting something sensible like maybe the club could set up a webcam so those keyboard warriors can then jack off when they see the ribbon is cut.

No 'suspect' about it.

Martin Perry said those who helped the club on this (i.e. FFA team) will be invited, plus the ballot winners.
...which is how it should be.

I'm going to do my bit by not bothering to enter the ballot. I really couldn't give a shit until it's built. *disillusioned*

What is the issue here, common sense has to prevail, and it appears that some of you dont have any, I am just glad that the construction of a new stadium is starting, and if I do not get a ticket to attend the ceremony, then I can tell you that I will be at the inaugural game sitting in the seat that I contributed to. Do not turn up uninvited, you have read Dicks reasons why. So give him and the club that respect they deserve.

Err - building sites can be dangerous places........

and site managers have to be across all these regulations to run them safely and legally. A bunch of uncontrolled people running around is not allowed

It's a sad day when you can't stand around in a field due to the moronic Health and Safety brigade.

dont be rediculous kev.....this is another example that the club care bugger all about the fans.

What a load of Bollox - The club could have chosen to hold this with a few specially invited people rather than get this typically bullshit response from a few on here who think that the club should do the impossible and sod the consequenses.

If 10,000 people all decended onto that field for the ceremony, do you seriously think that there wouldn't be health and safety risks? or that not everyone could fit onto the site?

When we first returned to play in Brighton, did you think that anyone and everyone should have been allowed into the ground that wanted to be there because of the occassion or should the club, as they did, limit entry to keep the whole thing safe for those in attendance?

It's unbelievable just how many miserable gits there are on this site, who think that because they are fans, they deserve special treatment, more than any other club gves to their fans, and sod any consequences

And if Health and safety was ignored and someone got seriously injured, then how do you think the club who fair? - it would be sued, and saying that well the reason we didn't control the numbers was because we wanted anyone who wished to attend to be able to, is, in afraid, not a valid excuse.

Not sure exactly what you're saying but i think its the same old dross thats repeated up and down the country regarding every aspect of life that is slowly and surely chipping away at the joie de vivre of modern living.

Complete and utter f***ing BINFEST in the making once again, I see.
Jesus H Corbett, has anyone paused to consider the PRACTICALTIES of letting an infinite (and uncalculated) number of fans just descend on that building site on the basis thats "its their right" to see the first sod of earth turned over ??

Get a f***ing GRIP for christs sake. Do we really have to have this reactionary BOLLOCKS every step of the way on this tortuous frigging journey to a stadium ? This is embarrassing. I will put in for the ballot - if I can go then great, if not, well, its going to be a building site for at LEAST two frigging years. I'm sure I can poke my nose in at some point over that period, but I'm not precious enough to think I have a devine right to BE there for some ceremonial bollocks right at the very start.

f***ing HELL you people !

Plus media types as well, this will lead to another "I did more than you" binfest no doubt.

I don't agree. Just what was the point of me holding onto my Barnet JPT first round stub then?

Thank f*** someone talks sense. Does anyone really care if they can't watch one builder scratching his arse, another having a smoke break and the rest having a cup of tea whilst complaining what a big job they've got on?

If you are that desperate I can point some of you sad fuckers in the direction of some roadworks you can sit in which will give you the same feeling of day 1 of Falmer being built.
