Under your skin.
I think we need to identify at least ten or so people who will sit close for every home game. Then speak to the club about what will and wont be allowed. And target say 5ish test games to trial ideas.

Could we get either a sticky or sub-forum would be ideal.

I'll start a list. And where I'm planning to sit but I can move this as I've not brought next years st yet.

1.Drumstick - H/D block.
2.jjt1976 - ? block
3. Falmer4all - D block?
4. The Ringleader Returns! H block

How about the East stand? It's very rarely full - although I'll be renewing my season ticket in D block, I imagine any games the group wants to do anything spectacular, I can arrange for my ticket to be exchanged, I have done this a couple of times before. I think the best thing to do would be to contact the club about organising special things for various games, such as cards being placed on everybody's seat to hold up? Either that, or something similar that was done a few seasons back with scarves being waved all around the ground. The club were very supportive of 'scarf day' now I come to think of it, didn't they make all scarves a fiver or something like that? It looked really good, and perhaps is a good way of establishing ourselves within the fanbase.

I like the idea of twirling scarves above your head whilst chanting, have seen it in the past at Hearts games in Scotland, looked pretty smart.

When it comes to creating an atmosphere I reckon that South America is the benchmark, this is from a game I went to in March in Argentina, just about conveys what it was like...I was sat to the right of the person with the camera and could feel the stadium moving beneath me...the singing only stopped during half-time and continued for the whole of the thirty minute lock-in at the end of the game:

It just about conveys the atmosphere, which was amazing, maybe 8-10,000 singing loudly and jumping up and down!

Fantastic. Love that. One thing I notice with English fans is that chants are short lived and seem to run out after one minute. A simple chant such as 'blue army' needs to be sung over and over, even if it is only 100 people singing it on repeat, others eventually pick it up.

Even MK Dons managed to get most of their home fans singing by the end because they repeated the same tune over and over. Looks like the Argentines have the same idea.

Yeah, I found myself joining in with the chants at times, despite my very limited Spanish...it really was hard not to. I have been to individual games in Europe where there has been an amazing atmosphere, but just like you suggest, the singing only lasted for a few minutes at best...the River Plate fans sang for the whole of the 90 minutes, and more...it tended to go in cycles, at times only a small section in amongst the flags were singing, but then it built so almost the whole ground were in on the act...just amazing.

Wonder if we could go as far as the flags and stripey banners effect, that might work at Falmer if we had a whole block...at Withdean there would be someone moaning that their view was being ruined.

Where are we goign then? a lot seem to have their tickets in H... are we REALLY goign to sit there, even with the H block people singing their own songs? I fear 10 people could be drowned out by the noise of an intire block.
