I’ve got two left - it gets better and better.

I am genuinely thrilled not only that it’s so good, but perhaps that people have found it and given it a chance (and hopefully liked it!) because of this thread when they might not have otherwise.

This isn't a plot spoiler

The last couple of seconds somehow made me want more of this than I already did.

Looking forwards to watching it all again over a few evenings with different perks.

That. Was. Brilliant.

Spoiler-free thoughts.

Finished the season and I couldn’t agree more about my excitement for season two, based on the final moments.

Absolutely superb in every single department, from the storyline/writing, to the aesthetic, to the performances (how good is Walton Goggins?!!) - and Ella Purnell is just wonderful as Lucy.

It covers all the bases, it has action, humour, drama, even romance.

If season two can live up the brilliance of that first season, I will be a very, very happy man.

Now to rewatch it all again!

Promising start.

This isn’t a spoiler as such but I’d love to watch a film or TV show where a character gets stabbed and then has the common sense to leave the knife in the wound.

Not a first aider amongst them in all of Hollywood it seems.
Also noticed this recurring trope, saw it in something else recently and it annoyed me then too. Very small gripe though ;)

Every. Time!

Anyway, will watch episode two tonight, my partner who isn’t into games at all and doesn’t know a Pip-Boy from her arse wants to keep watching, which is a good sign.

She was very confused by the concept of ghouls :lolol:

At least it's consistent with the games, where all you need is a trusty stimpak!

Couldn't agree more. So often video game adaptations are genuinely awful, sometimes "okay", usually divisive and very, very occasionally good. This is SO good.

What I love about the games is that they have such a distinct feel about them, from the 50s-style tech, to the music, to the wasteland atmosphere, to the (generally) tight plotlines, and a lot of TV versions feel the need to throw away elements of what makes a game feel like it does.

Literally, from the opening moment when you see the Bethesda logo, I just fell in love with it and I cannot wait to crack on with the series.

I like the nod to "Person of Interest" with the Michael Emerson character and the dog

That’s the thing, there’s so many nods and nice touches for the fans to enjoy - but you don’t need to “get” any of them as a newcomer. Raiders taking Jet, a deathclaw skull, Lucy’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L scene at the start - there’s so many examples.

did anyone else spot Mr. House in the Vault-Tec scene? New Vegas is gonna be stunning next season, I can tell

This wasn't on my radar until I saw this thread.

I watched the first 2 last night and really enjoyed them. I haven't played the game so it's all new to me.

A great recommendation. Many thanks 👍

The games' storytelling is even better, if you're the gaming type!

Well I really enjoyed that. I loved all the little details that were true to the games without feeling like they were crowbarred in.

On the general theme of Fallout, fans of the games that haven’t already, I’d strongly recommend checking out the Wasteland games.

Same designers that made Fallout 1 & 2 and very similar in theme design and it shares the same RPG system and isometric style. Wasteland 3 is very good on the current generation of consoles/PC.

I just watched the first episode with the wife who’s a nurse.

It’s excellent, but she says the same thing everytime this happens.
