I had quite high expectations as I love the games, the setting in the postapocalyptic world and the franchise design/visuals in general. I had to adjust those expectations slightly downwards watching the first too episodes as I though it was a bit too "hollywoody" and naively silly. It also didn't help that I had previously watched "SILO" (which is amazing btw) taking in place in a postapocalyptic vault as well. Silo was more dark and serious which I quite liked.
They have managed to capture some of the feel and some of the black humour of the games and the storyline is quite good, even if it is predictable in most cases.
I also love the ideas and technologies the games/TV series play with. Some physicist could probably answer this: Why can't we have miniature nuclear engines to power cars or small towns for example?
Having now watched the whole first season, I would say 7/10. Enjoyable and will most likely watch the following seasons, but it's nothing amazing. The games are way more captivating.
