BBC's FA Cup Final pre-match build-up with shots of a helicopter coming into land. What was the show in 1983?
Just watched the first three episodes. Absolutely superb. Loving it so far - it has definitely lived up to expectations.I think it'd be much more in keeping with the spirit of Fallout if, instead of actually showing the programme, they sent a load of messed up nonsense to your house just to see how you react.
I'll similarly hide my reaction to that.Just watched the first three episodes. Absolutely superb. Loving it so far - it has definitely lived up to expectations.
One small point - and it’s borderline spoilerish about the whole concept and tied into what you just said, so I’ll spoiler tag it just in case.
so far, all the vaults appear to have actually been legitimate, rather than experiments for shits and giggles as in the game series. But it’s clear Vault-Tec aren’t on the level either…
Can’t wait to watch the remaining episodes tonight in one long binge. Love it!
Hoping for an appearance of Gaaaaaarrrry…I'll similarly hide my reaction to that.
I'm outraged. I demand more pointless experiments for shits and giggles.
Very much so.Looks really interesting. Never played the game (although my sons have so was familiar with it) and I presume they've done it in such a way that you can enjoy the show without having played it?
I’m three episodes in but watching another three tonight. It’s absolutely superb, forget other adaptations - it’s brilliantly done. Accessible for everyone whether you’ve played the games or not - whilst simultaneously a love letter.I'd been avoiding this like the plague because video game adaptations have historically been, to put it mildly, rancid puddles of shit.
But the reviews this thing is getting are swaying me.
Well I've just watched episode 1 and if I were a single man the PS3 would have been fetched from the loft and fallout 3 fired up.

It’s really, really good. Better than The Last of Us in my opinion, but then I’m a big Fallout fan and found TLOU a little bleak for my tastes.
Sadly my PS5 is off for repair at the moment but I know what I’m playing through (yet again) when is returned.
It’s usually telling when a show is renewed before it even launches, and it has already been renewed for another season minimum.
If Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan stay attached it could be one of the great all time shows.
I traded mine to get a PS4 after the Xbone launch fiasco. Haven’t looked back - just a shame about Zenimax being subsequently bought by Microsoft. My trusty XBox 360 still works

I can play Fallout 3 and New Vegas on PSNow, but I think I’ll go back through 4 again as it’s the most stable on PlayStation consoles.
