Ruud is a dick to his own players too, not just loanees! Excellent appointment

If true what a load of pathetic shit. Managers these days really have to deal with children. Not happy they immediately cry to their agents. FFS grow up you overpaid pricks (if true!).

A lot of them are literally one year or two above the age of minority so actually, not much older than children! Facu is still a young lad at 20 years old. At the ages of 18-20, young people have not matured enough to really cope with the pressure of thousands of fans expecting them to keep their club from being relegated or just win and are at high risk of mental health problems. On top of that, the enormous pressure on coaches to perform for the fans and meet the club’s expectations can lead to a very stressed manager.

What ever happens on the pitch therefore, coaches are expected to “respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every person …”. according to thefa’s Code of Conduct for Coaches.

I understand the frustration.

But Ruud’s objective is to keep Leicester up, not to reintroduce some sort of management style from another era. It seems that he is rather good at upsetting the players, rights and wrongs of this to one side, he is not going to keep them up. He is just creating a toxic atmosphere.

The sooner we get Facu out, the better.

Firstly you’d be hard pushed to find a player that didn’t respect Ferguson, the Keanes of this world are few and far between. Ferguson may have been demanding and tough on his players - he also was very protective of them too and knew the value of praise. His players genuinely had enormous respect for him. Ferguson is probably wrongly caricatured as a tyrannical bully by those who didn’t know him.

Pep and Klopp found the right ‘tough love’ balance too and maybe our own Roberto did - all three with tempers and explosive personalities in the dressing room but Wenger and Mourinho are probably examples of two managers whose hardline approach with young players was damaging for them, their players and ultimately their clubs. RvN is getting the reputation for being the latter type of manager and he was like that as a player too towards younger teamates. Criticising individuals by name and doing it publicly, can just leave players fearing you and undermining their confidence which is counterproductive.

SC is getting paid and having a wry smile to himself. He’s an average manager who was picking up enough points to keep them safe. When clubs get promoted their fans immediately point towards Brighton we can be like them forgetting we had 3/4 years of battling to stay in the league with Hughton low blocking for two seasons. It wasn’t all champagne football and Europa league.
Burnley, Southampton, Ipswich don’t or didn’t have the players to play any type of expansive football.
Any mention of us by newly promoted
Sides should warrant an immediate issue of the footage of how we played against Tottenham in Hughtons last season with us, quite possibly the worse I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen us destroyed by Rodney Jack!

People outside of our fanbase forget how difficult the league is and how much of a gamble we took with Potter at the time.

Can’t believe there are actually people on this thread writing Facundo off. As I except I have already said on this thread, he is still 18 months younger than Macallister was when we signed him, who then took 3 seasons to become the player he was with us! And unlike Enciso, he is actually playing games and developing. Or at least was, before RVN took over.

TBF Fergie at least earned the right to behave as he did through his achievements, RVN has achieved nothing as a manager (and doesn’t seem likely to at this rate).

To be fair, to be getting those results with those players, I’d argue that it is an achievement, just not an entirely positive one.

This thread is mainly 'bring him back, we want him here, going to be a great asset [next season]'?

Bang! And the dirt is gone.
Facu is going to be a very good player. Hopefully next season Fab wants to play him. I do wonder though, as he seems to like units in the midfield. Imagine trying to squeeze in Buonanotte, Rutter, Pedro, Welbeck, Mitoma, Minteh, Gruda, March into a team...Oh my. What an embarrassment of riches.

would hardly describe gruda and o’riley as ‘units’. wouldn’t rule FB out based on his build. looks like he’s bulked up a bit anyhow, which is a good combination with his low centre of gravity

He will competing for Ayari’s place as well I suspect. He’s got a great engine on him and his defensive stats have been top drawer this season. He can play 8, 7, 10 comfortably. He’s turning into a Mac mk 2. Definitely no push over anymore.

He didn’t have the best game last time out although for RVN to start on a young loan player is out of order
