I see it completely the other way. The experience his is getting is invaluable, he would barely have played had he been here. Look at Enciso, grabbing a few minutes here and there. Buonanotte in contrast is now into double digits for goals and assists this season.
And attracting headlines about Spurs wanting to throw £30m+ on him.

Facu definitely looked lightweight in his first season with us. He looks a lot stronger and composed this season and by the time his is getting picked for our first team in August, I believe he’ll have the strength and Premier League experience required by FH.

I am adamant that our squad has not been balanced regarding kids/potential vs leaders/experience, especially with the injuries we’ve seen. Having Facu in the squad would have made this imbalance all the more worse. That is why I’m open to Enciso going out on loan for the rest of the season because he is probably behind Mitoma, Adingra, Georginio, Pedro, Welbeck, Minteh and March now.

I may be wrong, but I disagree. He's progressing more at Leicester due to more game time than we could give him. It's not an area of the pitch we're struggling with IMO, and if he was here we'd have other players losing minutes too.

I was really pleased with Fab's line-up yesterday. Not just because it was important to progress, but as Fab said, it's important for our players to get used to playing together. That would be harder is we had another player at a similar level competing for game time.
My point is that he may well have got game time as we have been quite shit in midfield this season, I would stick him in with Baleba above anyone but Wieffer of the current players, including Ayari who I like but do not believe is as good as Goodnight, who happens to know where the goal is and how to make assists

Yeah but we are talking about a midfielder here, not a winger and we are definitely not blessed in that department

Albion’s “Messi” would thrive in this team…..imho

I will be as gutted as Murray going to Palace if we sell him in the summer

Anything close to £30m is insulting. We pay nearly that on people with no PL experience, who may or may not make it. We spent £40m of Georginio, from a lower league team.

Facu is strutting his stuff in the PL, and has only just turned 20. He's already good enough, and his potential could be very high. At the age of 20, Ben White was playing for Newport.

He's an attacking midfielder or number 10 though. He'd be playing a similar role to the one that has been occupied by Joao Pedro most of the season. He's not a holding/defensive midfielder so wouldn't be playing alongside Baleba.

I believe that Facu has played as a CAM or RW in almost every game for Leicester with a midfield pair of units behind him doing the midfield leg work (Ndidi, Soumare etc). I’m not sure he’d be better than what we already have in the middle at this stage of his career. That said, I know FH likes to play a CAM in midfield alongside a DM but for me, he just doesn’t have the deep lying play maker, tackling or possession experience at this point.

I agree. But my point was that he is playing well enough to already be linked with a move to a Big Six. Like Ben White, he’ll only increase his value to the correct amount once he is playing in our first team. Also like Ben White, we’d be absolutely nuts to cash in for around £30m before he has proved what he can do with us in his early 20’s.

More game time somewhere else?

If we don't think he's good enough to get a lot of game time in our team, we'll want to loan him again. If we think he's ready, I'm sure he'll back himself to make the shirt his own.
