The way people are acting on here, you would think we're on a Man City style run of results.
I know it’s ridiculous isn’t

I've said all along that the RDZ European qualification season and the group games would represent the high point of following the Albion. I still think that's right and I think that's what colouring my view of things right now.

Granted, Bournemouth away last season was pound for pound one of the worst albion performances I've ever seen.

Doesn't wipe away the absolute best of RDZ that we saw though.

Those days where we'd turn up to play a top team and almost expect to win.

Granted, they were shortlived but f*** me they were amazing.

I just mourn them and I can't move on from the repositioning of where we are currently.

I'll try harder for some perspective, but I'm not getting very far.
I felt that way when Poyet left. Absolutely mourned his passing and couldn't get into the Oscar Garcia season at all, found him so dull. Then we put that awful squad together for Hyppia and I totally switched off. I pretty much lost two seasons of supporting Brighton from my life.

But hey, in the end it did get better. Trust the process ;)

Don't know if your post was sarcasm but looking at those two fixture lists our results have been against much weaker teams than City. 6 points from those 6 games is relegation form (not FA saying we will get relegated as we clearly won't but it's still a fact)
With a competent experienced manager I’m convinced we would be up there with Forest that’s the kicker. There seems to be a disconnect with Fab & the players. No arms around the shoulder before they come off or subbed on it’s all well very German.

Not at all. But for example when we get spanked at home to our rivals I’d like to see a pissed off angry manager. But we were told to trust the pwocess
Why? What is it about a manager being angry in an interview that makes the tactics better or the players form improve? The two things are unrelated. In fact a manger that remains calm and focused will probably have better results than an emotional reactionary manager.

Yes and no imo. Maybe we can't produce a team like the 22/23 that with a couple of friendly ref decision and other fine margins could have finished 4th or even 3rd. Maybe that is the peak indeed, its possible.

But I'm quite certain we'll play in Europe again within in the not too distant future and perhaps the Europa adventure itself could be more successful than last time around.

I'm not optimistic (or pessimistic) about reaching the heights of the final months of 21/22 and then 22/23 anytime in the foreeseable future. But I think we can mount a real strong challenge for top 7 next season.

I've said since day uno that this season is likely going to be a quite boring 8-12th finish, likely with a substantial point margin to the Europa teams. Seems like it'll be in the lower areas of that given we have United and Tottenham behind us which I think we might not at the end of the season.
100% agree.

Actually (unbelievably), it's not!

He seems like a decent guy. I used to go into games thinking we can win this. Now I go into games thinking I wonder what 45 we will play well and how will we f*** it up today 🤔

I don't think I would believe we are going to win unless we are 3nil up in the 92nd minute. If I have that mindset, do the players? 🤷
