I've just had a great idea for a book title, but I have no idea of the content.

As someone said earlier, left vs right is FAR too simplistic, and I don't like how we're all being pushed into a reductive, dumbed-down narrative, red vs blue, the good guys vs the baddies.

I am socially very left, but probably economically centre, and on certain issues I would be seen as right wing. There are various other axis as well. I have as much issue with the regressive left as I do with the alt. right.

It's both a frustrating and fascinating time in politics at the moment.

Both as bad as each other, it is getting scarily common to see the free speech is free speech until I disagree with it policy. A cousin of my wife is a lesbian and very progressive, during the election she was posting a ton of unreal Clinton propaganda that really was FAKE NEWS and I engaged in discussion on one of them, because it was so obviously fake. The responses I got were unbelievable, I was branded a sexist, racist, homophobe who and I quote "should go back to england" and they were "so glad I am unable to vote" in their country.

This is a very far left leaning person, telling me to GO BACK WHERE I CAME FROM and showing glee at how they have more rights than I do.

I pointed that out too, then I got blocked.
:lolol:

Tons of evidence both anecdotally and media covered showing they're all totally nuts and as bad as each other.

Left 'extremism' gave us bollocks all. Socialism gave us what he says.

My point, that you've obviously missed, is that 'extremism' can depend on your point of view and can change over time. The suffragette movement for instance was considered extreme at the time.

The suffragette movement was extreme for a time and alienated women because of it.

No that is superstition, the government gave women the vote for war service. As it was stated that women shouldn't vote because they cant do a mans job.

The Government (whoever they are) just live on soundbytes if it buys them some more power.
