Not sure I'm keen on the badge tugging, although I appreciate he'll just be doing as he's told by the photographer:

At least he didn't do that silly arm crossing thing.

This is a stupid move (I am not generally one for going against the club) that will result in him leaving and losing a striker of immense quality rather than enjoying his talents and goals.

West Ham will finish above us and he will want to go there, the quotes from him and FH hardly sound like he's planning on coming back for next season.

It's well and good being "recruitment FC" but at some point we need to start acting like the established premier league club that we are.

For West Ham to finish above us, Ferguson will have to start banging in goals. So we win either way.

If he wants to go there (and not to any other potential suitors) then that’s fine as long as West Ham are prepared to pay the sticker price for what would then be a proven young PL goal scorer.

We can’t get precious about players. We are not at the top of the food chain. Even Liverpool have to fight off Saudi interest in Salah.

Can I presume he's not eligible to play tonight? Shame as would be interesting as would waiting/praying for a Sanchez howler if Chelsea manager bravely keeps him between the sticks.

If he does well and wants to move at the end of the season, it's big money for the club.

If he does well and wants to come back (and is wanted), it's good news for the club and next season (potentially).

If he doesn't do well and WHUFC don't want him, then it presents a bit of an issue for the club and possibly suggests that a loan to try and get his mojo back *might* have been the right move.

Players come and go. If EF goes, there might be another striker through the door who is better than him. I don't get the sentimentality around footballers. Sure, I've got favourite players and I can think that they are amazing, but when they go, all I see is another opportunity for another player. It makes no ACTUAL tangible difference to fans if he stays or goes, so

Grim.
At least he looks happy. Been a while.

No way is he coming back.

I was suspicious that he wasn't injured in January and was maybe agitating for a move, and seeing how he looked so fit / in good shape - so much so that the TV commentary picked it up - after a supposed month long ankle injury, I believe he couldn't wait to leave.

Undoubtedly.
Question is why I guess.

Kind of backs up the rumours about Fab being too harsh on him. Even if it's come from a good place - to try to motivate him - it certainly didn't work. I think someone said he wants to enjoy his football again (which I assume means he wasn't here) and it was reported he couldn't see a future under the manager.

Not sure it worked under RDZ too.
Sounds like he’s been poorly managed by both. Possibly misread his size and nature for being a lot stronger (mentally and physically) than he is.
Anyway good luck to him. A top kid and a real talent.

Quite - one size doesn't fit all with motivating people. It's okay, now he has GP with his degree in emotional intelligence 😔

Absolutely spot on. Arm around him. I’d be amazed if he doesn’t score more league goals than Welbeck and Joao Pedro combined over the rest of the season.

Could be a genius move to get us 3 points. Evan plays brilliantly and becomes first name on the team sheet for the Hammers. They rely on him for literally all their goals. But... he cannot play against us and as they then won't be able to score, all we need to do is play 10 attackers to make sure we score at least one goal. Simples.
Didn't we try 10 attackers against NF on Saturday. Look where that got us.

All true, of course. However, I do remember hearing the line up and thinking "that is...odd". And I'm shocking at tactics and all that whatnot.
Mate, I have no idea about the line up for any game these days.
Not just The Albion.
But if you saw a particularly glaring bit of weirdness, fair enough.
Had I been paying attention, had I noticed our midfield comprised of:
Little Jack Horner and...
I think it was Tomb Thumb....
I may have raised an eyebrow.

There IS a way he'll be back, given he's a Brighton player and out on loan. Whether he plays for the club again? Who knows. I certainly wouldn't like to make that call right at this moment though.

Seems to fit in with the rumours of a bust up with Hurzeler . Such a shame if he never pulls on the Albion shirt again. He could be gone and Hurzeler as well.
