There have been a few good games in this tournament, but I've not enjoyed it as much as others. That's why the 'football first' part of me is pleased the Spanish won. I don't think the disparity in the draw halves helped either.

Nah, that was a disgrace. Made a bog standard team look world class. Southgate lucked his way back into the game and f***ed it, again.

You'll feel better about it tomorrow, bud. Yes, we did luck our way there and, looking at it differently, Spain won it for football as a whole. I think it's been a very negative tournament.

The players worked within the system and it didn't suit them. I would never challenge their commitment to the cause.

What's even more frustrating is that that tournament will be considered a success by the media, they won't hound Southgate for getting it wrong. We were dogshit all tournament, it was pathetic. We were lucky, Slovenia should have knocked us out.

I think we would have been a bit sad had England deserved it. But they really didn't. Their challenge should have been euthanised earlier.

Midfield was full of holes the gap between defence and midfield was getting bigger as the game went on. Maino coming off exposed the problem and Spain got the winner. Southgate hasn’t got a clue how to fix the most basic of in game problems.

I think you mean Slovakia. But I got Venia and Vakia mixed up to the point that I didn't know who they were playing as each match looked the same.
