Oh right. So it's just another of your tiresome whines about lack of mortgage availability then, something which most of us can understand but which in any case is completely and utterly irrelevant to the merits of estate agents.

Carry on.

Actually if you can be arsed to go back a couple of pages you will pick it up and see I was answering a question as to why properties where not marketed in the £ 250 - £ 270k bracket due to the change in stamp duty so why you feel the need to chip in and make things nasty god only knows but I guess it is to be expected. Have a good day.

I know I'm only RENTING so they give me the new boys with the open pink shirts, cheap aftershave and SPORTS Peugeot - I dare say you may be given someone half useful if you are actually buying?

Which is why you should go to a specialist letting agent (and one that is ARLA registered).

Going to a specialist estate agent instead of a letting agent is like going to your GP for open heart surgery. They may be able to open you up but they have no clue what to do after that.

I have never had any complaints

Not the same as a satisfied customer though is it?

I'll stop now, I had a beef a week ago but I have now moved on.

A real estate agent helps a person to secure the best deals on property purchase. A real estate agent always ensure that the property you are buying is not a scandal and so it is always safe to get the property deal done through an estate agent to get the best deals on your property.

For a first post might I just say 'what a load of crap'.

An EA is looking after 2 people. Fisrtly himself and secondly the seller who is paying his fees. He owes and gives nothing to the purchaser.

Stupid comment! If you don't look after the buyer it becomes harder to negotiate a deal for the vendor.

QFT this is exactly what estate agents are supposed to do, whether they do or not is depending on the company

Who do you hate more?
Estate agents, used car salesmen, traffic wardens, recruitment consultants, community support officers?
