A real estate agent helps a person to secure the best deals on property purchase. A real estate agent always ensure that the property you are buying is not a scandal and so it is always safe to get the property deal done through an estate agent to get the best deals on your property.

They are on a % so no. They will make the sale regardless of the condition. They arent there to help the seller or the buyer. They are just an agent to take a %.

Way out west
My only gripe with estate agents was during the purchase of my first house. I had a price agreed and accepted, with a deposit paid to them. Imagine my surprise when I walked past it a few days later to see an auctioneers board had replaced the sold sign. I viewed this as a cunning attempt to get a little more money from a property whose value had slumped since the previous owner had defaulted on his mortgage and done a runner, it had been duly reposessed. I went to the auction and bid on the house, but it didn't reach the reserve, they then accepted a sale at the originally agreed price for which they already held a deposit. Their actions caused me a few days of worry, that I had lost the house, and a day wasted travelling up to London for the auction.

I'd have gone to the agent and hit him in the chops with the auction sign! You know full well that if someone had out bid you on the day you'd have lost the house despite the accepted deposit. I don't care if there are a few good agents out there and I'm sure there are but the whole industry stinks. It's geared up for this sort of nonsense and It attracts that sort of person.
I just hope they are all happy with who they are.
