Encouraging first half. We need to beat this lot and end this 23 year barren run.

Gary Cahill is not up to it. He'd be 6th or 7th in my pecking order for centre back.

Welbeck and Cleverley wouldnt be in the England squad if they weren't playing for United. Average at best.

Absolutely agree. They are both terrible. Welbeck is so one footed it is pathetic, his "performance" tonight is bordering on being offensive. What is he doing there?

I think I'm the only of my friendship group who thinks Sturridge is a comfortably better all round player than Welbeck.

Your mates lack your understanding of the game then. Sturridge is a footballer. Didn't look it at Chelsea at times, but at Liverpool he has already proven how good he is.

Gary Cahill is not up to it. He'd be 6th or 7th in my pecking order for centre back.

I rate him really highly. Strong, quick and technically brilliant. His problem is a lack of experience at the top of the game, he is still a bit naive.

definitely living off past reputation. they can barely keep the ball - but it is commentator law that they have to jibber on endlessly about how amazing they are

Theyre playing past hero's. They don't have the big players like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho (in his prime), Rivaldo, Romero etc.
