I give up. James, Brown, Campbell, Neville and Owen should not be in the squad.

You are quite right. Especially since Terry, Gerrard, Owen etc are all injured/ short of match fitness.

Who should play up top from those lot then? For me, Owen if fit and Darren Bent

Owen is our best striker at that level and James has been the best english keeper in the prem for a season or two.

Neville, Brown, Smith and Dyer can all DO one though...

Only striker with a goal scoring record.

Been here before.

And nothing conclusive came out of it so what's your point?

I'm sure you will bang on about Bent not being good enough as was conclusively proved by his 2, yes that's right, 2 England caps.

He has a broken toe, but can play on Sunday so i presume he is OK for England. Cant see who else will score.

According to The Torygraph this morning, he will play for Liverpool against Chelsea with painkilling injections, and then be withdrawn from the England squad by Benitez to rest his toe.
