I would have taken Drinkwater over Barkley too.
Yep
I would have taken Drinkwater over Barkley too.
I'd have taken Drinkwater over Wilshere.
Apart from the 11 goals in his past 13 games. Apart from thatRooney has been pretty much useless in an England shirt for any serious game since South Africa - he shouldn't be even allowed to wear the shirt anymore.
I'd have taken Drinkwater instead of Milner
Any Wednesday players in there?
When will we learn ? Taking Rashford after a few months of decent football and while he's still a kid is exactly what we done with Walcott . I can't even see him getting a game we should have taken players who have played a full season consistently instead .
'Pretty Pink Fairy' is the spoof account for 'Pretty pink fairy'.Bloody Hell, you've become quite the satirist, haven't you?
Yes.
Man U fan?
This.
And this.
Although he's often brilliant in a friendly or against the big boys like San Marino or Luxembourg.

No, I must admit I haven't watched Rooney lately, except for the cup final where he played well. But of course, that was against crystal palace who are similar to San Marino in quality. So everyone's arguing to take players based on current form EXCEPT Rooney (have you watched him recently?) Take players who haven't "failed" (yet) at the top level rather than our most experienced player and record goalscorer?

Perhaps he will prove the doubters wrong this time and play well in a few matches that actually mean something, I doubt it.
I'd like to say I'd love to be proved wrong but I am so disenchanted with the FA right now, that my small amount of giving a toss has reduced from antipathy to actually wanting them to fail. In that, I suppose I should be glad he's going.

Being an England fan WAS depressing. As I am not much bothered anymore, I am no longer depressed by them.Wow, your world sounds depressing. Why don't you view England as complete underdogs and support them that way you would support the outsiders in a cup final? (Apart from the last one obviously!).

"When will we learn"
We've done it once with Walcott, not really a history of taking really young players - the only other one o can really think of is Owen, which didn't work out to badly.....
It's one squad place, 3/4 of the players won't get a single minute.
Plus Alli and Dier haven't been around I the top flight for much longer, leave them at home as well shall we and see what Lampard and Gerrard at up to?
This is the squad that most people had been calling for - young and attacking.
The difference is that Alli and Dier have played more or less the whole season and have shown the can perform consistently . I just think we rush our players in too young rather than letting them get to know the international set up through the under 21s and nurturing them . By the time Rashford is 26 he will probably be seen as past it like Walcott / Rooney . We seem to have an obsession with taking the wildcard. Maybe because we all like an underdog
Let's not forget Sturridge was horribly shown up at the last World cup where he was outclassed and any opportunity that did come his way was missed. However, when he does lose a fingernail and pull out, it'll be Townsend in.Sturridge is made of Weetabix so when he pulls up on Saturday, I hope we find room for Drinkwater.
In other matters, our defence looks absolute gash. We could get annihalated by a decent team I'm afraid.
