Is the long-awaited sequel to "Shag, shoot, marry"?
Why do we have to discuss whether to 'get rid' of player X every week?

I am getting fed up with people who seem hell bent on turning NSC into EAFTB (entitled armchair fans talking bollocks).
And discussing our players in the same way a fat bloke would discuss the female contestants on Love Island.

Him and Gruda looked very good especially first half, and both worked themselves to a standstill.

We seem to have a reluctance to shoot though, I didn’t mind the shots over the bar because at least we were having an attack ending in a shot rather than it being turned over from one pass too many.

Enciso can shoot and needs to be encouraged to do so.
Julio had EIGHT shots in the first half alone yesterday. His issue was not a reluctance to shoot but the quality of said shots. With a bit of fortune he could easily have had a hat-trick. Keep.

I”ve had a quick glance through the thread….keep him..best forward last night …to he’s useless get rid of….

😂

personally I find the ones saying “useless” puzzling….cant remember the last time if at all him and Pedro were a front two pairing, so on that basis alone he did well…..he’ll be as annoyed as we are that he didn’t score…especially with that header…you could tell that he was almost trying too hard…and snatching at chances….like Pedro in the second half with his powderpuff effort…..first start of the season. (If not can’t be many)….as an aside can’t recall him diving (wrong?)….Pedro stop it the refs have sussed you and you won’t get the genuine fouls

Using that great thing called hindsight, for me, loaning Enciso and keeping Buonanotte would have been the better call. But of course Enciso knobbing off to the Olympics and getting crocked was probably part of that decision making process - Enciso putting himself before the Club, where have I heard that before?

Bounanotte scored 3 times last season and played in 27 games.......

Julio Enciso takes more shots and scores fewer goals than anyone else in any top 5 league, EL and CL.

As long as he keeps hitting it at the goal, I say keep him. No other bugger is trying to shoot.

In fairness, for much of December, it has looked extremely likely that Enciso would be loaned out in January. He's been linked with a fair few clubs, and clearly wanted more match minutes.

But he's been given a start and didn't perform badly - depending on your view of whether shooting a lot is a god thing or not - so loaning him out now looks less obvious than it did.

This all boils down to the same equation to me, our players looked competent and full of confidence playing under the last manager.
That is the first time I’ve seen Mitoma fuming at being subbed. You can’t sub Mitoma he can come up with something in a second even if he isn’t having the best game.
The German has sucked the heart and soul out of our squad get rid and move on.

He has the potential to be the very best of all our players. He should be getting a run in the team so that this potential can be realised.

I'd say keep. I would be more upset if he hadn't had any of those shots and on another day he scores a hat trick. And critically they were realistic attempts as opposed to his old habit of trying silly attempts when there were better options. I think he's one who needs a bit of good managerial psychology and he would have needed a reassuring word post match last night so as to not feel that if is the sole cause of the draw.

I think the more general issue is as Dunky mentioned that we are over playing it at times. I also understand drawing the press but when they are not ' biting ' Bart does need to distribute the ball quicker.

Shooting a lot and scoring 0 goals is clearly a good thing.

Maybe thats why some people have a deep desire to bring back one of the two ex-Albion managers who thought/thinks Neal Maupay is the solution to the striker position.

This league form is no different to the 2024 league form under the last manager. Maybe you forgot how much our form dropped?

IMHO it’s a shame he’s not doing something similar to Facu, getting a lot of PL minutes somewhere

the lad is thinking 6 steps ahead. the issue is he needs to bring that back to 2-3. He needs to be playing every week, but I don't think he's good enough to play for us every week yet. He will be world class, keeping him here will hinder him.

Why don’t you mention the first half of 23/24 before the injury pile up? He were higher in the league than we are now and playing Europa league football.
