Enciso only cares about himself, selfish and not a team player. Get the impression he’s thinks he’s bigger and better than BHAFC.

I’d send him out on loan in January. Might be totally wrong but sense he’s a bad egg and not a great one to have around the squad wallowing in his own self pity.

I love this lad but atm it just isn’t clicking for him. You can see the effort he is putting in but imho he doesn’t find this new system natural and is thus going through a period of adjustment.
Top player for me and one that will come good again very soon.
Effort? Can you? Not from my seat tonight. He doesn’t tackle, he runs around a lot. A one trick pony. Offers next to nothing. Warren Aspinall can’t stand him and I can see why.

That injury was a massive setback for Enciso. He used to be an incredible player. I do feel like he shows that “selfishness” in games, which other posters were referring to, such as how he hogs the ball for too long. I couldn’t say whether he is a detriment to the team off the pitch though. I hope not. I feel like a loan might be best for Enciso, hopefully he can thrive again like Buonanotte is doing at Leicester.

Starting a revolution from my bed
Too much going on in his brain at the moment.

Undeniably technically gifted and can strike a ball with incredible purity (as long as it’s not a dead ball!) but just all over the place in his decision making. Wants to be the main man who creates from everywhere but would be far better suited to being the man who ghosts into central areas after the build-up work has be done. Just not sure his ego lets him make sensible decisions.

Compare the way he plays with Pedro or Rutter and the maturity levels are very noticeable.

Agree with the notion that he only seems bothered about himself rather than what the team achieves. Looked tidy at times, a decent shot in the first half, but 3/4 abysmal set pieces. I don't think he is an FH player at all and I don't think he'll still be here in January.

It feels like we may have sent the wrong one out on loan.

Enciso was streets ahead of Buonanotte, but the latter got minutes - probably more we'd have chosen because of injuries - and he improved considerably, both with the ball and without it.

Bounanotte worked hard, dropped the fake injury shit from his game and became a real team contributor.

Enciso just seems to play for Enciso, and that's not a route to long-term success.

I feel the selfish angle, is a little harsh, but not without some substance.

I like him.

But he is a bit Palacey, isn't he?

Enciso missed a penalty in one of his last games for Paraguay in the first half and asked the manager to sub him at HT because he was not doing well. The manager kept him on.

So it's not just in a Brighton shirt

There were rumours of RDZ speaking with him to try and tempt him to Marseille at the end of the transfer window. Wonder if that's turned his head?

Because it's certainly not in the game right now.

Can't disagree with a lot of the views here. I've also heard his agent is a bit of a dick and started up the rumour that De Zerbi was interested. By all accounts West Ham are sniffing around too

When he's on his game, he's incredible, when he's not he's frustrating and becomes more and more selfish.

The problem is, because Pedro and Rutter are streets ahead of him in the no. 10 role and Mitoma and Adingra are in the 11, he simply won't get consistent game time.

As others said on the match thread, that second injury with Paraguay at the Olympics, so soon after a major season ending one, may well have indirectly done for his Brighton career. I hope not, but at the moment he doesn't look anywhere near the player we had at the start of last season.

I still think he will come good but sadly I don’t think it will be with us. I suspect that if he went to west ham and played every week he would develop into a sensational player and we might have a Grokeyes situation with “oops. We let one get away”

The problem is that I am not sure we can carry him to get to those levels.

Is next season his final year of his contract ? Apart from probably ‘an option’ ?

I think people remember only his good points from before his injury. He seems very similar to me: great ability but doesn't work hard for the team and is very inconsistent. He just happened to have a good spell before he got injured and that seems to have given people a very rosey memory of him.

He has amazing potential but needs to develop his all round game a lot still.

He's very selfish and you really can't be like that in a team sport. There's great talent there for sure, but mentally he needs support, his head isn't right and hasn't been for some time.
