After his stunning goals in his debut season, and his confident, skillful performance in our win over Wolves at the start of last season, I really thought we had a star on our hands. One bad knee injury later and he just can't get it going again. I am surprised he has been largely limited to brief cameos, thought Hurzeler would give everyone a chance to play games in the Premier league, but it is true he's been peripheral.

I imagine his complaining to the Paraguayan media, and him leaking team news that he wasn't in the squad, would be badly received by the club too. Petulant.

Time for a loan, with a view to a summer sale.

he should be in the squad. i really dont get the slack he is getting at moment on here.

Fed up with it tbh.

HE is a TOP TOP player, and very young, people should remember that.

give the lad a break, he just want to play football
This is the crux of it. The boy's young and hungry for football, as things should be. Doesn't seem to have much concept of football as a team game sadly tho. Would doubtless flourish showboating somewhere else. One for the club to bank the profit and move on

The guy is a couple of good cameos away from being a potential starter and so I really hope we don't give up on him just yet. Imho he is potentially one of the best players in our squad. Lets cut the lad some slack and give him a chance to play out of this rut.

Before getting injured he was the player most likely to be next taken for a big fee.

Things have obviously gone wrong but he could easily come back again and be a great player for us.

I'm sure he could be given a chance at the expense of Weiffer or Adringa, for example, with a lot of dames coming quickly. He scored match of the days goal of the season not long ago ffs .

I said it a lot earlier in this thread but I still believe he's paying for putting country before club in the summer, and worse doing it so publically, you don't have a thin snipe at our owner and get away with it. I think it marked the manager's card too. He's finished here IMO.
You can keep on saying it, and it will still remain a trope of Brighton fans who don't like it that their players go to their international teams to play football.
Was FH even here when that was going on? And you think that FH, who picks the team, left him out from the Fulham squad because he wants to play international football? Or is it that TB or even PB has encouraged FH to leave him out because one or both are peeved that he played for Paraguay over the summer?

He's not a team player, but he could become a great player if he learns to become less selfish. Needs to sort his head out, then get his head down and learn to work hard as part of the team to release all that potential.

Doesn’t look like he’s travelled with the squad again…

Why the rush to get rid? Can't we at least see what he does in half a season in The Championship, and in pre-season next year, before jumping to conclusions?
