I’ve always hated smug Eddie and always said never trust a man who smiles at you while he gives you bad news but i say.
Get him in he can’t do worse than what we have at present

IF Potter can’t take us on, I’d take Eddie Howe in a heartbeat.
His achievements as a manager are incredible. One bad season, in what, 14?

I'm far from Potter out, but Howe would be a coup for any struggling team in the PL IMO. Worked wonders at Bournemouth. I know I'll be vilified for this but I never found him particularly smug either! :moo:

TB would not give him the budget he needs to play pretty much the same open style Potter is trying to play, on a comparative shoestring. Give GP the backing Howe had and we’d be comfortably mid table. Howe is not the Messiah just a well backed coach who still took his team down, he will not be coming here, we can’t afford the players he’d want.

That would be the bloke who got Bournemouth relegated with a budget bigger than ours? :ffsparr:

Is the right answer. In the last couple of seasons he took a squad that should have easily been mid table and turned them into dog shit.

Predictable response from most on here and it's clearly not going to happen, but Howe kept Bournemouth up comfortably for the first 4 seasons and clearly knows how to get promoted from the Championship. Yes he got relegated last season but every manager has a shelf life in any role, and that was 1 bad season out of many seasons.

Whilst i agree that Potter has to go, Howe is not the answer.

Potter doesn't have to go, but were he to do so, Howe might be a consideration.

One day I'll agree with you about something, I'm sure.

Tall Eddie had a lot of spending allowances down the coast. When he went up north, he didn't.

When the berries were good, they really were. I reckon he could get us paying with a swagger. That said, I really don't like talking about forced job losses as a concept. I accept GP probably could retire and live a cushy life given the crazy wages out there.

Laughable thread.

Great plan, bin the manager who kept us up, and replace him with the guy who took his team down.

Real business geniuses here. Thank goodness Tony Bloom is in charge.
