Well I thought it was jolly good - even Lee Evans.

Evans was a star turn, Ryan looked pretty good in black.. which is a handy colour to have in the wardrobe should she return to Eastenders. Of course the science was intrinsicly wrong and gibberish but hey, thats entertainment !

It seems to be a David tennant comedy hour, at one point i forgot it was DR Who, you know that scary program you used hide behind the sofa from.

It was disappointing for me.

:clap2:

It was rubbish for me, absolute rubbish. I can't believe what's happened to Doctor Who since the first series of the modern version.

Valid point.... However since the demise of McCoy and subsequent resurection of The Doctor, the world has moved on. the old format of 4-5 35 minute episodes building to a conclusion was too dated and expensive. Most of the old Dr's seemed to spend an eternity either running away from something or running to somwhere just to pack out the episode.Just like the modern world, The Doctor has become more savvy, concise and trimmed down and a lot is crammed in to a one-off or a two parter. Admittedly there is little time for real tension to build and the Dr tends to have a laissez-faire attitude to life, death etc.... I.e... "I'll save you.. I'M THE DOCTOR !"

In the old days the most feared/evil/horrible/intelligent Rock/Vegetable/Insect/Alien could only kill anyone by slowly shuffing towards his victim and slowly strangling them.. so, we should be more appreciative .

Methinks the Master is coming back (probably to kill off DT).

nice to see that the BBC still have in their remit (subsidised by you, the licence fee payer), a commitment to convince the British public (against all the evidence that this country is still overwhelmingly North European in ethnic origin) that black people now make up at least 50% of the population of the UK.

I thought Davros!!

I think it's too soon for him after we saw him at the end of the last series.

Also, the "he'll knock four times" thing could be construed as being similar to the "sound of drums" from The Master's last appearance.

At some point during these specials, I'd expect they'll tie up the River Song thing from the Vashta Nerada episode last series, given that she knew The Doctor as in David Tennant from some point in the future, not just The Doctor as an entity.

This episode was centred upon a London bus and its pasengers....so, it was quite accurate really.

Good theories. The Vasthta Nerada thing will be interesting if they bring it back, only problem I see is didn't Moffat write that storyline?

There are always subtle clues and hints its just like an episode of Inspector Morse.. 2 minutes before the end you get the " OH, I get it now" moment. don't worry or fret, just enjoy the ride

Did she say he looked exactly the same, as in david tennant, or were they vague enough to argue she could see through his exterior? That when she talked about him looking younger, she was talking about him being in an earlier body, etc

Ryan was nice to look at, mostly, but other than that she simply annoyed me.
