Just watched Ref Watch - all unanimous in agreeing there's nothing in it. All also agreed with their pen decision (no shit! ), the disallowed goal, the lack of a pen for Pedro and no second yellow for Baleba (again, no shit!).

In Horse racing, John Francombe tells a great story of omitting all the fences on the back straight of Chepstow. It was foggy and no one could see anything, so he decided not to bother jumping any of them. When the stand came into view he popped the last for an easy win.

I don't remember the extra time in that game, but the period where the 4th officials were regularly doing 10+ minutes was following the example set in the world cup in season 22-23 where they weren't afraid of actually adding on the full amount time lost for an injury or VAR decision.

Again, I was being facetious, sarcastic etc. etc. Of course that amount of time wasn’t added on. The officials probably felt sorry for United and ended their misery bang on 90 minutes.

What happened then?

When I saw Sollys hand move up to Garnachos throat in real time I thought "no Solly, don't do that..." because a lot of times players will be sent off for it, however lose the grab was or however short it lasted. If we turn that picture around with Garnacho fiddling with March throat instead, I'm fairly sure most people in here would say "thats a red". So I can understand the United fans about this one. What they don't seem to understand is that it would have mattered f*** all in the end, so they can't blame March or the ref for loosing - that was all our work and their lack of it.

I was amazed Garnacho didn't drop to the floor and writhe about tbh.

No one could give March a red, it would be criminal.
Back in day when I kicked around a leather laced ball, I did once find myself pinning a centre forward on the deck around the throat, I think the ref thought the chap had it coming, centre forwards can be arrogant ruffians at times.
