The **** is once again talking about “having the cards” this time referring to a potential recession. A President further removed from being a statesman I can’t imagine.

I know of someone who could give him a schooling in playing cards

It's the way he puts quote marks around "ELECTRICITY" like he's being sarcastic or is talking about some sort of fake electricity.

You couldn’t make it up … if only a load of expert economists had predicted Trump’s tariff and trade wars would harm almost everyone. As Wall Street markets plunge, fiscally Yanks earning under $360k a year will be hurt by his tax increases. There’ll be 10m’s of MAGA in that bracket :dunce:.

He said it.

Now, I'm no stock broker but even I know it's the Dow 'JONES' ffs!

I'm really struggling to work out what he means by 'dropping' the farmer tariff from 250% to 390%?

Do a lot of people in the US buy Canadian cars? A quick Google has said they have a lot to do with Ford & GM. I'll feel bad if I have to blame Canada for producing s**t Fords these days. The transits are proper crap unless you buy them from new. A Renault Trafic with 180K miles on the clock & still going is the new Ford Transit. Minor technical issues with electrics though!

Are Canadians going to be really badly affected by the tariffs? Trump just seems to make things sound 'massive' when they might not do much at all.

The thing about that post is that his base will lap it up. They won't care that he started this shit in the first place. Trump has said it's all Canada's fault and thus it is gospel.

How have we ended up living in the f***ing South Park movie?

Why does the woman doing the White House press announcements remind me of a 1970s propaganda spiel from Radio Tirana ?
She reminds me of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who did the job in Trump's first term.

Long Sault, actually....

Canada has a dairy and poultry supply management system in place which the US accuses is a form of protectionism.

If you have a spare hour or two, the following Wikipedia article might be enlightening: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dairy_and_poultry_supply_management_in_Canada

Personally I wouldn't want any US dairy products up here full of hormones, antibiotics and all other manner of crap.
