Agree. Good to remember this tariff is global, not targeted at UK specifically. And Trump has form at applying tariffs and quickly rescinding them. They’re another form of leverage in his deranged mafia negotiation style.

A narcissist is looking for opportunities to exert power and control. Refusing to engage can be just as robust a response.
Maybe Starmer isn't quite as bad as me for putting twerps on ignore....but not responding is often the best response.

I do wonder if any individual American state gets so fed up with all this shithousery that it decides it wants to leave the USA. Far fetched, maybe, but in the age of Trump, anything is now possible.
I was thinking about this earlier today.
California springs instantly to mind.
Where almost everyone (well, the people with reasonable jobs, the ones who vote) drives a foreign car.

If I were California, Oregon and Washington I would revisit the treaty that allowed them to leave the British Empire and become part of America.
Maybe they could join Canada?

The price rise in eggs was to do with bird flu, nothing to do with Biden, unless you're suggesting that Biden gave the birds the flu
Isn't @spence banned from this thread now? Or was that another thread? It was for trolling.

The bloke seems to have lost his tiny mind

if the speculated "3rd term" ever occurred, reckon it would be followed by California and west coast, and maybe New York and North East look at leaving. though for that very reason i doubt the necessary amandment would pass the 2/3 and state ratification needed.
as things stand there is a lot more smoke and than fire, the courts are kicking many of the executive orders into touch and officials not playing ball behind the scenes. they have a budget to agree in congress and depending how that goes may see some Republican support fade.

California circulated a petition to secede during the 1st tЯ☭mp administration; it's started another one, naturally.

There are also some in Cali, Oregon and Washington who've expressed the desire to join Canada, albeit mostly facetiously. But they are envious, no doubt.
