Let’s see how that is when his supporters are being screwed over by the economic downturn.I think that's true. His supporters are unlikely to drop the 'messiah'.
TBH LasVegan chap couldn’t lose his virginity in a brothel.I only tried explaining the easy bit to LasVegan - that US tariffs would lead to increased costs for US consumers............but he didn't get it.

A rapist’s hand!
Thats a shameObviously he’s rich beyond dreams. But most of that is on paper from his shareholding. The value of which has almost halved in weeks. The financial media reported earlier this week that Trump’s new billionaire buddies have seen their net worth reduced by £209b this year.
Maybe, but at that point, the cultists might be forced to choose between the two and it could be Musk that they side with – depending on how much (more) of a shitshow the US becomes. It’s the falling out with Trump that will be his downfall. He has a very large target on his back and no friends, that’s not good place to be….
Whenever I’ve met a pleasant ‘American’ on holiday I’ve found out soon enough that they are in fact a Canadian.Posts 11 010, 11 012, 11 018, 11 019
The GOP can't bring Canada to its knees economically. However, if they can install enough high-ranking, crazy-corrupt Mike Flynn-type generals, then an armed invasion is possible. (There are still too many "normal" military leaders who would balk at attacking their closest ally, but they're being replaced with RWNJ.)
Let me tell you that apart from the MapleMAGAts in some pockets of the country, the vast majority of us take this annexation noise seriously, as an existential threat. We're boycotting US products, cancelling trips, selling winter homes in Arizona and Florida (the snowbirds), retaliating with our own tariffs, etc. "Elbows Up!" has become our national rallying cry. We are royally pi$$ed off. As I've said on Bluesky, the Murkans will have to nuke us if they want complete capitulation; otherwise, it'll be Vietnam Mark 2 for them.

when you are broke, being a cultist becomes less appealing. Hopefully they’ll implode.Maybe, but at that point, the cultists might be forced to choose between the two and it could be Musk that they side with – depending on how much (more) of a shitshow the US becomes.
He certainly is another funny bloke. I mean, he's got all these kids and all these businesses that he runs and yet he is quite happy just hanging around the White House where every day seems to be 'bring your kid to work' day. I'm not sure who is 'in charge' of Tesla, SpaceX and all the rest, but it can't be him while he's knee-deep in firing people, asking what they did at work and generally making people poorer.when you are broke, being a cultist becomes less appealing. Hopefully they’ll implode.
But the question then becomes, how do you remove them? Putin is basically untouchable in Russia and Trump has the support of the other branches of government and probably still retains the trust/belief of the majority of Americans. They're all wrong, but that's where they are. This is the most chaotic and unpredictable time I’ve ever known, and goodness knows what the outcome will be.
But if Trump and Putin both screw their economies, there must be an increasing possibility that neither of them will be in power by Christmas?
The opening scene from the new American version of MinderIts quite a sad state of affairs really, that the President of the US has morphed into a car salesman on the national stage because his accomplice has hurt feelings from FAFO.

Who wouldn't buy a car from them.
Always best when in Vegas to keep quite on Trump, given the locals believe he can do no wrongI only tried explaining the easy bit to LasVegan - that US tariffs would lead to increased costs for US consumers............but he didn't get it.

Only a matter of time treating people the way he does in a country full of guns to piss the wrong one offNot sure about that. He's clearly 'in' with Trump and, until that relationship falls apart (and it will) he won't be going anywhere. And even then, now he's got a foot in the door, he probably wouldn't go quietly.
He, like Trump, has created a cult and also isn't afraid to trot out BS at every turn (blaming Ukraine for trying to bring down Twitter, for one example). But his supporters/followers don't care one bit. I think he'll be part of the furniture for a while.
Yeah but it’s the type of people that have the guns that’s the problem.Only a matter of time treating people the way he does in a country full of guns to piss the wrong one off
and how do you remove Musk? Since he's unelected he technically can't be removed by voters? But the question then becomes, how do you remove them? Maybe we could join the EU?I am pissed off that Starmer is being gutless in response to Trump giving us tariffs of 25% despite our trade balance with them being broadly even.
He's all "we won't reciprocate yet", while all the other trading blocks like the EU and China are meeting this Trump nonsense robustly.
If only we were part of a trading blocks to protect our interests.

Agree. Good to remember this tariff is global, not targeted at UK specifically. And Trump has form at applying tariffs and quickly rescinding them. They’re another form of leverage in his deranged mafia negotiation style. If Starmer imposes a tit-for-tat 25% tariff he will instantly lose any influence with Trump,
and drag us into the trade war between the EU and America without any joint enterprise support from the EU.
I think you have to unplug him at the wall.and how do you remove Musk? Since he's unelected he technically can't be removed by voters?
