Wherever that ground is, nothing will grow there for a century or moreMark my words; one way or another Trump will be in the ground within 6 years.
It shouldn’t be beyond them to think of ways to test this theory out.On Newsnight last night, Nick Watt quoted a former member of the National Security Council saying they think MI6 are genuinely now worrying about a future where information gathered in Russia could be passed back to Moscow if shared with Washington.![]()
I'd like to think they've already done it. Actually, they probably run tests like that regularly. It shouldn’t be beyond them to think of ways to test this theory out.

Maybe but until he came on scene I had never heard any leader talking about peace or even a cease fire. If this carries on no nation will put troops in Ukraine and with troops getting smaller and dishartened there will only be one winner.
With Putin leading Russian I have had real worries that this could end up as WW3 so I am dedlighted whenever I hear people talking about a peace agreement.

Surely the thinnest skinned of carrots and the sourest of grapes may stand a chance?Wherever that ground is, nothing will grow there for a century or more
I think for at least the next four years we have to regard the U.S. as a Russian State and act accordingly.
Have as little to do with them as is practicable.
Tough.
Right now it looks really bad, but we'll probably learn a lot more in the next few months. I cannot believe that those in high positions in the military and secret service are going to sit idly by while Trump turns the US into a Russian state. Even those who have been removed from their positions will be looking at what can be done. They'll be watching Trumps actions closely.
I found myself wondering if there’s a world in which Trump hands out contracts to Russian companies to work in Ukraine, instead of American ones. It’s not a peace agreement, it’s a surrender. There was nothing actually in it that would stop the war, only the assumption that Russia wouldn’t attack US workers. Did the US honestly have no companies in the Ukraine when Putin first attacked them? They just cared about getting those minerals.
US stock margins been plunging for a sustained period now. Tariffs, trade wars and the uncertain world brought about by Trump help very few. He’s talking and acting sh1t.
Wondering if rich Americans who live, eat and breathe the value of their stocks, find his allegiance to genocidal Putin still hilarious?
Whatever our opinions of Trump the worst senario would be if USA washed there hands of Ukraine. For a start Europe would have to find the 300b that USA have contributed.
Russia in 3 years have taken 20% of Ukrain. Another 3 years could be 40%
You make a good point but I really struggle with the idea that unless we can do everything we should do nothing.Out of interest, where would I buy a nice refreshing can of Grans, Solo, ICA Cola, Faxe Kondi, Fritz, Zingi or Trocadero out of interest? Or grab a quick bite at Max, Big Bite, Peppes Pizza, Deli de Luca, Sibylla, Fafa’s or Joe and the Juice on my lunch break?
What should I do if absolutely everyone I wish to speak to uses Facebook, X, Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp. Refuse to speak to them until they download “Threema”?
Sorry, I can’t watch that YouTube video of the new Albion Unlocked episode mate, would you mind uploading it to YLE Arena or RUV?
Okay team, I know our tech guys have spent ages setting up our working from home interface, making sure it complies with GDPR best practices, has backups and failsafes to ensure limited wasted hours due to technical issues, but today we’ll be hosting the team meeting via “Whaller”. What do you mean “what is Whaller?”

I really hope peace negotions work out. I still say Ukraine cant repel Russian troops for ever without foreign troops to help them on the ground
