This is moronic.

Zelensky is the president of a country fighting a war inside it's own borders. He represents 40m people. You appear to be suggesting it is more important that he appeases Trump and his absurd position that Ukraine concede all lost territory because the US have had enough of it all now instead of putting forward the position of 40,000,000 Ukrainians that their land is their land, and if you tolerate this, then your children will be next.
My view is that Ukraine will need to concede something to end this war.... It's no guarantee of lasting peace but it's all we have at the moment.

You will find the Campbell’s (king William‘s redcoats) arrived at home of Clan MacDonaldof GlenCoe (who were Jacobite’s still showing alliance the Stuart’s) and as was custom in Scotland asked to stay and you couldn’t say no to. There was no friendship between the MacDonalds and the Campbell’s. So not the same at all
It was nonetheless an offer (refusable or not), and the outcome did not display my ancestors in a good light.

I'm not sure they're generally celebrating in Moscow. The people probably want this over with.
Are you trying to break the world record for how many times one man can be wrong in one day?

In Moscow they are, as a famous fast food chain would say, absolutely f***ing loving it.

And being "not really a fan of Zelensky" says much, much more about you than it does about him.

That is a classic strategy. One of the best examples of the strategy in use was when the Campbells invited the MacDonalds to a feast in Glencoe to celebrate their new friendship (look it up if you don't know). Sadly, this is not the case here.
Trump is a groupie in terms of royalty and celebrity. Having a door slammed in his face by royalty would resonate with the orange arsehole far more than any number of convictions in the supreme court in the USA!
Does this mean Starmer is already planning a Red Wedding for Balmoral 😳?

What bit is wrong.

Ukraine need USA

Zelensky needed to come in with the attitude that will appease trump.

It's not rocket science.

I'm not pro trump or zelensky. And this is my view I don't care whether it's popular on here.
Absolute bollocks - for Zelensky to come in to that meeting and gain fawning approval from Trump (spit) and Vance (spit) he needed to come in with the attitude that would appease Putin (Trump's new bezzie).
If you believe he should have done that, words fail me.

The only piece of land Ukraine might have to compromise on is the Crimea. That land has historically belonged to many nations and it is simply too hard to claim that Ukraine has the right to it any more than anyone else. The rest of it is simply not up for debate. It is Ukrainian land. I'll refer you to my example where the south west of England is invaded. I don't care what the hue of my government is at the time, that's my fvcking country and our land and I'd die fighting for it. It is the same for the Ukrainian eastern front. Any peace deal brokered there would leave skirmishes and fighting forever more, and a president rightly considered a traitor by his own countrymen.

This is not complicated to understand, Dwayne. As someone who spends his time on here boasting about how well travelled he is, you show a remarkable lack of intellect and understanding of how people will fight for their own land and culture. You surely can't be this dense?

I’m sorry, who’s “we”? Do you speak on behalf of Ukraine? Do you speak on behalf of Ukraine’s Government?

If not, who the f*** are you to say what is and is not “all we have”. For as long as the people of Ukraine are prepared to fight and die for their country, we owe it to them as a fellow European democracy to give them as much support as we can. But don’t worry, I’m sure the Ukrainians are sorry that you’re having to pay a tiny amount of money to them every month to help their fight for survival.

It doesn't matter. He doesn't represent the russian people.
I'm sure @Bold Seagull will correct me if I'm wrong but when he said "people in Moscow" to which you replied, he was referring to the war criminals in charge, not the man-on-the-street.

And rest assured, those war criminals will be enjoying their Fridat night vodka this week.
