I agree with this, It was nauseous to watch, but it was necessary in the circumstances. Starmer seems to have played an absolute blinder today.

Did exactly what he had to do - suck up and play to Trump's ginormous ego at every opportunity.

Pushed away the Andrew Tate and Canada questions and played everything else with a straight bat.

Trump being Trump, had it been less harmonious behind the scenes, he would absolutely have said so, and let everyone know he was the big man in charge calling the shots.
