Not yet on Sky. They’re reporting that Starmer has handed over a letter from King Charlie inviting him for a visit.
Reported on R5.

Something tells me this may well go well for Starmer.

If so, both the loony left and the loony right will be furious :lolol:

I’m sure they’ll dust themselves off soon enough
Sadly so.
Still, I think I have almost a full hand of NSC's fucknuts on ignore now. Left and Right.
The number of times a day I sigh on here has fallen to homeopathic levels. :lolol:

I hate to break this to you, but wait until you see the rest of the interwebs  This place ain’t so bad.
This place is lovely, and the rest of the interwebs can go f*** themselves.
Even Facebook has started to feed me links to far right bolleaux.
And the closest Facebook pal I have to 'far right' is dear old Harty :lolol:
It is a sinister algorithm that feeds you what you don't want.

Mind you, youtube offered me 'Dirty Girty' the other week, and is now offering half-dressed goths with unfeasible bosoms.
Weird.

I have to say, the PM is doing a very good job of making Trump think that he actually likes him. It's not an easy act is that.

Starmer and Trump forming a good working relationship would seriously piss on Farage’s chips (and Elon’s biltong)

Why do you need Farage when you've got Starmer?

Yes. I think Starmer knows he will have to eat his greens sometimes, but he's looking for the best possible outcome for the UK. Farage is just a desperate man of no real consequence trying to relevant be. I think Trump sees him as not often useful licker. If Trump does warm to Starmer's false charm, then Farage will be heading back towards oblivion faster than he'd like to. Trump likes 'winners'. Farage has had his day. I think.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
You'd think the Barrister sitting alongside might have been able to help or correct him.
Starmer interrupts Trump to correct his false claim that European nations "get their money back" from Ukraine:

"Mainly it was gifted, actually."

I think this second state visit is a very clever idea. First reaction is that it's nauseating, but really it's nothing more than ceremonial bollocks, the cost of which will be insignificant compared to what it could acheive. Reason being that it plays massively to what we all know is Trump's biggest weakness: his ego. He's not going to risk that invite to meet the King being rescinded by siding with Putin over the course of the next few weeks/months or being a **** over tarrifs that affect the UK.

There is no point having a royal family and hundreds of years of tradition if you can't use it for leverage.
