I got to 66 some time back in the early/mid 80s. Nearly all with Brighton as we'd gone from the 3rd to the 1st divisions so there were a lot of new grounds almost every season. I got to the stage where I was picking and choosing matches based on whether I could tick the ground off or not. However I realised I was turning into a trainspotter so I stopped.

I'm probably in about the mid-70s now, but thankfully I can't tell you.

Ticking off Hull City v Sunderland (which I bizarrely have missed over the years) on the way back from Newcastle to bring me up to 78 out of the 92. 282 overall and now up to 108 grounds with Brighton (First Team, Women's and U21). Almost completed the conference as well, with only 4 to go, so then I can constantly maintain my 92 numbers, depending on who gets promoted.

Doing Fleetwood v Bromley on Saturday to take me to 74. Aiming to do a few more Bromley away this season at new grounds for me as long as no Brighton clash. Should get me into the 80s then it'll be picking off the remainder when possible.

I was looking at the conference strategy. I've done about half of it. But then thought maybe I should work on those less likely to be relegated first. Standing at Harrogate and watching them getting schooled by MK Dons I did feel that it might be wasted as it's hard to see them sustain their league status. Crowd was only 1,600.

The only clubs I have left in the conference after doing Ebbsfleet the other day are Solihull Moors, Boston United, AFC Fylde and Gateshead, of those only Gateshead and Solihull look like getting promoted any time soon, so I need to ideally tick them off at some point. We need some movement on the Newcastle to a sunday or something, and then I can probably gets Gateshead done.

We did Harrogate v Bromley for the first game of the season and like you I thought they were terrible. Somehow they're six points and several places above the drop zone though. Nice town. The bottom two teams, Morecombe and Accrington, are both on my list to do so maybe I'll hold off for now.

I've been to Carlisle and Hartlepool. But never been to Old Trafford or Arsenal. I quite like that.
I love this.

And it's funny how many modern football fans just won't be able to comprehend your mindset at all.

Love the town, one of my favourites. Mrs Giraffe loved the fact I returned with many treats from Betty's Tea Rooms. Town planners of South East towns during the 20th Century should be sent there in a "this is what you could have done you idiots" way.

They had two back to back wins, one was against Bradford.

Yes went there also a few years back with my university flatmate to his beloved Scunthorpe lose 6-1, lovely town and pubs, shame the football ruined the day out.
