Okay, worst result in decades, but does it matter? Not to me, no - it would be far more worrying if it was a regular occurrence, but it simply isn't.
The knee-jerk/wetting posts on here have me laughing, and there's no doubt that I needed a bit of cheer, after that.
All said and done, we're still doing 'reasonably' well...in the Prem, of all places.
Knock Chelsea out next week and the mood will be entirely different - quelle surprise.

I guess the question is how long do you keep faith that Hurzeler will come good. I'm getting to the point of doubting him and today really hasn't helped. I hope the squad and him can get through this.

This was the breaking point for me. I held my tongue after the Palace and Everton games, but now I feel I shouldn't have. He's out of his depth and doesn't have the players' respect.

Perhaps my memory is failing me, I don't remember us being on the receiving end of that many 7-0 scorelines
last one was Huddersfield I think...some time ago , the home drubbing by Palace was equally painful. Jury definitely out on this guy although he wasn't on the pitch , when questioned about selections he said that there were reasons not for the public.

It depends on everything else going on imho.
if all is well in the camp and it’s just a game gone wrong then so be it. If however there were signs it was coming and there is disharmony in the group then perhaps it is more of a concern.

Nah...shit happens, just like it did to Forest last week.
We had a couple of honkers under the last manager as well, 6 against Villa and 5 against Everton.

What disappointed me most was the total lack of application and concentration towards the end. This made the score line much worse than it possibly needed to be.

Luton away, Roma away. At least we kept those to four. 😫

It matters in that most of us could see playing 1 midfielder wasn't going to work out too well. You would hope that a Premier league manager might have seen the same unless there was something he knew that we didn't
And what must O’Riley and Gomez think, knowing he’d rather start with a one man/youth midfield than pick them?

It's not so much the scale of the defeat but that it's another game with obviously deficient team selection, copious individual errors leading to goals and a sense that the manager doesn't know what to do about it. It's a blip but there is a trend.
