Okay, worst result in decades, but does it matter? Not to me, no - it would be far more worrying if it was a regular occurrence, but it simply isn't.
The knee-jerk/wetting posts on here have me laughing, and there's no doubt that I needed a bit of cheer, after that.
All said and done, we're still doing 'reasonably' well...in the Prem, of all places.
Knock Chelsea out next week and the mood will be entirely different - quelle surprise.

If there were genuine signs of a plan, or him really getting his message across, or players improving, I’d say no it doesn’t. My feeling is we are going backwards. Is it really our job to give a manager with potential the opportunity to learn on the job, and at what cost?
Continuous game on game improvement happens all the time for other clubs.
Not.
Look at how serial champions Citeh fell apart this season.

Shit happens.

Dropping points in hilarious, embarrassing, inept or badly coached fashion isn't a regular occurrence?

Wolves collapse? Leicester collapse? Unable to score v Ipswich? Whatever THAT performance was at Chelsea? Providing one of Saints massive 9 points at home? Humbled by a poor Palace side at home? Outclassed by Everton and Moyes at home? SEVEN NIL away at Forest?

The one allowable disaster was losing 1-3 to Palace.

This is the one that turn's supporters away from "the process"

So if Bloom pulls the trigger tomorrow you’ve called him out as knee jerking bed wetter?
Stranger things have happened.

Getting four points from home games against Everton, Wolves, Palace, Brentford, Ipswich and Southampton is a (collective) disaster.

Throwing away a 2-0 lead in stoppage time against bottom three sides TWICE was a disaster.

Getting outplayed and smashed at home in a pathetic display against our closest rivals was a disaster.

Today was just the latest one that Hurzeler has overseen. IMO.

It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things to this football club....

... but it is catastrophic for Hurzeler. He will have lost a LOT of fans today.

I'm one of the more glass-half-full fans - yet even I'm edging towards Hurzeler out.

This kind of result is not acceptable - and should not be allowed to happen with the squad that we have.

Exactly. He’s tactically naive and most importantly the players are losing belief in his methods.

When we played that way at Stamford Bridge first half, at times making a Chelsea counter attack offside impossible, some here said it’s genius, wait and see. Well … waiting.

CP could’ve been any score up at HT, whilst Spurs first half was astonishing the same. Then of course Stamford Bridge ….. every player in their half first half ….. why? This was no blip.
The blindly back the club types don’t have the capacity to make their own analysis of games. If they did they would also see the tactical ineptitude of FH.

It depends on the context. Forest got beat 5-0 last week but I doubt their fans will be that angry, because in the context of their season they are doing fantastically. It was the same for me when we got thumped 5-1 2 seasons ago by Everton, we were playing well generally and having a great season so I didn’t care really. You wrote them off as just a bad day.

This season we aren’t playing well overall and so 7-0 matters more because it just seems like it’s not one bad day. We are just not that great this season and so results like this matter more because they aren’t one bad day but it’s the same play and issues as all the other games, just today Forest got the goals.
I agree with this. Papering over the cracks before and today showed our German PE teacher of a manager in his full glory. #clueless

The Man Utd game is the one where we’ve played well.
Yes, we played well at Old Trafford but the score line was deceptive. Andre Onana was shocking for our 2nd and probably should have been credited with an assist for our 3rd.

Then the moment a coach is sacked/gone ”I’m Team Tony on this, I never rated them anyway” :lolol: .

Was that the exception that proves the rule, or the rule that disproves the exception?

Asking for a friend.
