know a guy called Dave Woolgar, he was an old friend of mine when i lived in brighton back in the 70s, he lived in patcham for a while and worked at "Gray & Whites" the glass lead light makers, i have tried everything to locate him (friends reunited etc) if anyone does know him, i would appreiciate some news on him,
maybe best to PM me if you do have any news.

If my memory serves me right there was a David Woolgar who was at Varndean Grammar at the same time I was. If it is the same person , who would now be around 46 or 47 years old maybe the Old Boys Association may have some info.

Just had a look at the year register for old varndeanians but cannot find his name , so I dont think he went there but the name is vaguely familiar to me.

Is he possibly any relation to the Woolgars who ran the jewelry shop ('Gale & Woolgar') in Uckfield highstreet for many, many years?

I certainly remember the name - I lived in Westfield Crescent in patcham and Ridgeside avenue.

But my memory is not good enough to put a face to the name...sorry

funny how you lose touch with mates that at one point in your life you were thick as thieves and inseperable. Does it still happen after a certain age or is it up to your late 20's when by then you should of become who you were gonna be if you see what i mean

....keeps post at top if no replies
