"Dobbie told he can leave"

It is a long time since I went to school but when I did 1/4 of 90 was 22.5. 30 was 1/3 of 90. Times have changed I know.

If he's on more then £20 k a week, there's no way we would pay that.
We have a strict wage structure.

I would personally be staggered if he was on 20k a week. For every person on NSC with 'a rock solid source' who says CMS is on 27k a week, there's another with an equally reputable source who says he's on 8k. I know for a fact what one (former) Albion squad member was on as a friend went out for drinks with him and was told directly. Using him as a base (for what is admittedly a guesstimate), I'd say our high earners are on around 15k a week. Which is roughly what Murray's on, am I right?

 mustn't be to quick to post next time

That is only slightly higher than Murray is reputed to be on. Having said that I do not believe half of what is said on here about wages paid to our players and it is probably the same with your club and the supporters guesses..

I thought Murray was on a fair bit less than that (no decent source though).

I thought our top earner up to this season was Darren Ambrose, who was rumoured to be on £12 k a week

I thought he was on about 13/14k, because we wouldn't quadruple his wages from the last season @ Withdean? Admittedly so much to do with wages is heresay and gossip, it's barely worth discussing. Even if one's own source is honest there's no way of knowing whether their source is a bullshitter, and so on and so on.

I think that is a perverse reading of the article.

True, but he is unlikely to publicly state that he wants rid. Not the best bargaining ploy. I rather suspect that he'd be "allowed to leave" should a suitable bid come in. Biggest problem might be Dobbie getting similar wages elsewhere. Clearly a talented player but it hasn't worked out as yet and it seems unlikely that he will feature any time soon.
