Simply Red were absolutely HUGE? Probably the biggest band in Britain in 1995, one of the few artists to have a simultaneous number one album and single with the EPIC Fairground. I think at that point it was estimated one in every 3.6 UK households owned a Simply Red LP, astonishing.

I hated Simply Red and I hated Mick Hucknall, for some reason they just annoyed me, I couldn’t have told you why back then, and I couldn’t tell why now, but they still annoy me and I still can’t stand their songs.
