My Grandad used to work for the Post Office and more notably on the mail train that Buster Edwards done over. It wasn't on his shift but the information he gave to the police lead to the arrests of the 'crew'. He was also awarded the BEM (British Empire Medal) for long service with the Royal Mail.

In the WWII, he was an aerial photographer for the RAF, taking photos of proposed bombing sites over Germany.

My sister has been doing our family tree (very complicated) and has found out that my great grandfather had a ferret farm in Kent and was the supplier to the British Army of ferrets for the trenches in the first world war to keep the rats at bay.
