It is just the criticism of the unfaithful and ignorant.

Made our Withdean home match rating fall below our away match rating for several years.

Drove our young players away - having been booed during warm-up.

Disconnected Murray from the Club, despite all the great work he continued to do as a goal scoring attacker, goal providing attacker, and tireless ‘defensive’ attacker.

Etc, etc ...

Am I right in thinking you're the self titled 'Dave The Gaffer' who used to have me reaching for the off switch every week as you bored us with your negative 'insight' on the phone-in?

If so, I guess your insistence that we only deserved to lose doesn't really surprise me. Interesting to read that the radio guys also thought we deserved a draw for the 2nd half performance while that Watford fan on here said they 'nicked' a winner. We can be good without being world-beaters and bad without being doomed to relegation but you'd never know that on here.

Give it a rest please, we could, and probably should, have got stuffed 2 or 3 to nil. In 51 years of watching the Albion, I can't remember a more abject overall performance since the Shay in 1970. How on earth anyone can contend that we "deserved" a draw when we neither had, nor looked like having, an attempt remotely near the goal throughout the entire game is beyond my comprehension.

Now it's the worst performance since 1970. Hilarious. Sums up NSC perfectly - well done.

You're severely deluded if you think keeping the ball for a little while in the second half is worthy of a point.

Really? You've never witnessed a more abject performance since 1970? Huddersfield away? Stockport at home? Walsall at home? Grief.

I didn't go to the game, looking at the stats it seems we were not deserving of a draw but that's a pretty bold statement.

I was there. We were awful. They were poor. Didnt boo as I can see the point. Didnt clap either.

However I did overhear Gus at the end of the game....

" Hear that booing lads?'
" Yes Boss"
"Ees me who started it"

Self titled. Is was a nickname given to me when I managed the Remf team...but good point none the less.

Personally yes personally, I thought we deserved nothing for our performance against a pretty poor outfit. We managed no shots on goal, they managed at least five or six in the first half alone. In the second half we marginally improved but resorted to hoofing it to painter who won precious little in the air.

Where did I suggest we were doomed to relegation? If we start to win our home games we will be ok and i believe we will be, i would like to think gus will not put up with that. In fact in his interview afterwards reading between the lines he was alluding to that, but after performances like that, there is always a reaction and if by commenting that we "deserved a draw" after playing like that, when most people apart from those looking through rose coloured spectacles thought we deserved nothing, then yes you are going to have someone challenge that view. Which is what I did.

Still life goes on and it's only one game in forty odd.

The trick is how we bounce back on Sunday and how our current crop of walking wounded get back to match fitness ASAP. That we surely must agree on...?

Really? Mansfield in the cup? Canvey Island? Those horrible days of Gillingham (esp the first season)? The last days of Magoo - Stoke for instance? The Blackpool game at home under Wilkins? The Walsall 9 man rubbish? We were crap last night but I've seen a lot worse, granted not under Gus but the worst for 41 years, it was not.

Certainly agree that getting some players back will make a difference. And wasn't suggesting you have said we're going down - but that's the general gist of some of the more hysterical comments. We'll be fine. I still don't think it's rose-tinted specs to say we could have got a point last night - seem like most less emotionally involved observers thought the same - but there you go. We didn't and so it's all about Sunday. Just hoping for a positive atmosphere at The Amex.

I've seen your comment but no other. Every one else who went last night seems agreed that Watford were deserved winners.

Nobody would argue that we COULD have got a point. It was level after 75 minutes - how could anybody argue that?

What we are disputing is the ridiculous suggestion that we DESERVED a point. We simply didn't. We deserved to lose.

Agreed. I think it will be a positive atmosphere, it tends to be at home. We are up against another team of northern grafters...we need some craft to open them up and lets hope that one of the south Americans are fit....I still think Reyes is one of the best foreign players we have had and he looked like he could open up teams on his own.

I heard the boos, don't agree with it myself but after that performance I think anyone is entitled to vent their frustration as they see fit. I didn't boo or clap and just moped out frustrated with an absolutely shocking performance against a very bad Watford side.

Should be ashamed of yourselves for booing the team!!!
What did you think you would do this season win the league? Oh wait you did didnt you:facepalm:
In all fairness you have injury's now so FFS be thankful for your good start! Otherwise you'd be bottom 3:D

The R5L reporter said there were a few boos at Palace for a second consecutive scoreless performance at SP mate, so don't get on your high horse here. 3rd in the League and under 13k?!? Michael the rodent fella.

The ***** sat behind me who booed at the end (the only ones I heard mind you) certainly didn't get behind the team. They spent 90 minutes screaming at ever player who dared to misplace a pass.

Two 'lads' behind me spent almost the entire game premeditated slagging off Harley, only to transfer this to Barnes when he came on, followed by observations that Gus had 'lost it' as a manager. I had to bite my lip. Whether they booed or not I'm not sure because I admit I went and stood by the exit and left immediately on the final whistle.

Generally, the support was pretty good but there were more than a few booing at the end. Very disappointing game - money is tight for a lot of us these days and I am afraid I will vote with my feet if I have to put up with whingers with no perspective.
