but that is Lloyd's job - to identify players that we might want and then go and get them if we do.

Wilkins job was to manage the team..

Agreed, so why is the club being castigated for both Lloyd and Wilkins doing the jobs for which they are paid to do?

I think the question here is, Lloyd finds the players, DK negotiates the deals and brings them in. But did Wilkins ever get asked if these players fit into his own plans or would they gel with his side.
If you were a manager would you want staff thrust upon you that you may feel would be detrimental to your end result? After all it is the manager who is fired for the bad results.

Good question, it seems inconceivable that he would not be consulted, especially as we desperately needed a decent striker at the time, but who knows.

Perhaps someone out there knows 'The Truth'

This is the one question that I would really like to know the truth on.
It was stated that Wilkins did not get on with the players signed in the January window, well if he did not want these players what would you expect?

Fair comment, he also didn't get on with some of the players he inherited from the previous manager, and some whom he brought through the youth team

Thats an interesting article, because it seemed Jake now felt that under Adams he would have a better chance, but it never turned out to be so. Will Jake return now when the new manager is appointed and repeat that statement about Adams this time?

That probably depends on the new manager as much as Jake.

It's supposed to be a debate so why the need to call people Twats or Muppets?QUOTE]

Well, plenty of people on here behave as such so I have no problem with them being addressed by their proper names :lolol: Your user name hardly supports your argument. Besides, LBTP's point was aimed at all the DK-out moaners rather than you specifically. Don't take things so personally :p

The problem is that because not everyone knows what REALLY knows what goes on they hurl abuse

You really have got more front than Blackpool haven't you? And because you THINK you know what REALLY goes on - that gives you the right to hurl your spiteful shit around?

You are an absolute hyprocite for accusing other people of hurling abuse, when essentially that's all you're doing.
