There is anecdotal evidence that Glenn Murray was initially watched by Barry Lloyd, DW was asked if he needed a decent striker, said yes, and one duly arrived.

What's the problem with that? Alex Ferguson signed Ronaldo and Vidic on the basis on scouting reports, it is not unusual as the manager can't be in ten places at once.

So was Wilkins given the opportunity to watch Murray or even talk to him before he was signed?

I think that Ferguson would have seen these players at some time during Champions League or international matches. Hardly the same is it?

WILKINS BACK - KNIGHT IN U-TURN SHOCK

Apologies to those who nearly had a heart attack but if the whingers from the "bring back dean wilkins brigade" have seen what they want to see..............

can we please now see the back of this tiresome "campaign" and return the board to people who want to support the club (even whilst expressing realistic concerns) or heavens forfend say some positive things about the club

and can those who are constantly harping on with their pet theories and fantasies against the club go and support the teams where their heroes are now employed (if they are indeed employed).

Can the fans who watch week in and week out please continue to debate issues that concern them about their club, without interference from fans who hardly see what football is being served up to us.

On the day when Cheltenham announce that their whole squad is available to cut costs and stay alive, the bollocks spouted by the anti club birgade on 3 or 4 threads on here today is a bit rich

Do you not understand we have wasted MONEY on the removal of two managers recently when by sticking with the one performing manager we could be spending that WASTED money far wiser and be banging on the Championship door.

I see no anti club brigade just a pissed of with arrogant Knight club.

No Tony I'm not, I'm saying that what they are sprouting is the bile to serve their own agenda - not NECESSARILY something the reflects the truth.

MR BURNS, and other knockers, why dont you put your money where your mouth is,you obviously know nothing about the finances and finer points of running a club, if you did you would know just what DICK KNIGHT HAS DONE FOR THIS CLUB and is still doing so. A clear case of cutting your nose to spite your face.

And what is that agenda?

All i am saying is the truth.

Like I told everyone 2 weeks ago this very day, thay Micky Adams would leave by mutal consent if he didn't quit. On the Thursday he announced he had no entention of quitting, and on Friday he left by Mutal Consent. I had no agenda there, just saying what I knew.

Dick Knight has done wonders for this club, anyone who doubts that is frankly an idiot. But at the same time, in the past few years, he has made many mistakes and is tearing the club and supporters apart, and as I have certain contacts, the same as I told you Adams was getting fired, I can tell you the biggest problem Dick Knight has now is his ego.

Managers no longer want to work with him. In the past he appointment some excellent managers. They all left. Peter Taylor on bad terms by the way.

Dean Wilkins was sacked because he fell out with Dick Knight, no more, no less.

I have no agenda, other what best for this club, and while Dick Knight was the best thing this club had years ago, he's becoming the worst thing it as now. You only have to listen to the man in an interview, and its all me me me, my my my. He's a control freak.

Couple more point raised today.

Gannon was offered a 250k contract. We have now doubled this to 500k.

Micky Adams feels he was "f***ed" over by the players. No one had any bollocks at the club, which may explain why he tried in vain to sign some many new players. If you don't beleive that, ask him if you see him walking around Brighton, He's still down here!

Also confirms my point, that the players didn't want to play for him, because of the way he and Dick Knight stabbed Dean WIlkins in the back.

What is pathetic and boring about this thread, is the amount of Albion supporters who would allow Dick Knight to do anything and not question the man.

Why have we not signed a new manager? Could it be no one wants to work for him? Could it be no one want to be forced to keep Dean White on, a man very close to Dick , who has survived three manager sackings?

So true and nice for someone to say anything other than the 'Dick Tight saved the club' bollocks.
It's so true that the Dick Tight ego show is now running out of control and any potential manager will be well aware by now of how this ego maniac runs things here.

Don't start the Knight out out stuff.

We did the Adams out out stuff, and now we are f***ed - League 2. Unless of course we manage to achieve the White out out out, in which case we will be OK for League 1?:shootselfCongrats

So if we Brighton fans get the Knight out out out, then there is a good chance we will not get Falmer and shoot the other foot we are currently trying to limp on

If you feel like the Knight out out out, do it once we move in. For the record, I would not support it but the vocal few will have their way unfortunately.

Incidentally, we = Brighton fans but if you read the small print, your home maybe a risk should you be a complete twat.

It seems you may have taken a drink.
I have no real feelings about DK either way but Just a couple of points.
You, like a few pro MA & DK posters, seem a little agressive in your arguments to me. It's supposed to be a debate so why the need to call people Twats or Muppets?
Also, you seem to be saying that we will be relegated because Adams was sacked as manager when it is probably because he was appointed as manager.

All i am saying is the truth.

Well I tell you what - you keep telling yourself that and I'm sure you'll start to believe it.

There's no blindness or loyalty to DK here - AT ALL. I want what's best for Brighton, but this unsubstantiated bollocks is only serving one agenda - to make yourself look important and create a scapegoat for a crap season.

You got one rumour right - ONE! That doesn't make you know it all, it really doesn't.

To be fair, he's got a fair few things right on here and just because you seem to have an agenda against mr burns and bhadeb it doesn't mean that they are necessarily wrong. You do seem (apologies for repeating this word but it's the impression you give out) to view things yourself from a particularly slanted angle.

Maybe the best thing is for DK to come out and explain things and clear the air. Dunno, but that's my opinion for what it's worth.

Luckily we have bhadeb for the balanced and objective analysis of all things Albion.

Dunno. But what I do know is the first Dean knew about him signing, was when Dick Knight introduced Murray to him on the training ground.

What I don't understand was that it is common knowledge that Bloom junior gave the money to sign Murray, and given that Bloom is close to Barry Lloyd, surely it was Bazza who effectively signed him.

It's also fair to say that we wouldn't have Murray today if Wilkins was still manager as the two didn't get on.

Why would I have an agenda against either of them, when I've accused them of having an agenda? That could really get messy...

I've only been on this site for around a week, and already i am witnessing one of the most moronic topics i think i've ever seen, and i frequent a few message boards! This is just total bollocks, Knight has done nothing wrong, he made one bad gamble and so we want rid? He's ignorant, on what basis? Do you know him? He's done exactly what he promised to do from the start and gone far beyond the call of duty to do so, hes never really got it wrong in the negotiations area and overall i think he's been a fabulous chairman. If scientists get a prediction wrong based on E=MC2 they dont just abandon the frigging whole theory they dismiss the evidence against it as a one off, and its the exact same for knights appointment of adams, one bad appointment in a crowd of many good ones does not mean hes useless, your judgement of him is.

 Couldn't have put it better myself

The problem is that because not everyone knows what REALLY knows what goes on they hurl abuse

All i can say to those people is if you have so much faith in Dick Knight ask yourself why is he getting to agitated in interviews and can't get a manager - or have the board had enough of him cocking things up and not letting him do so much now??

but that is Lloyd's job - to identify players that we might want and then go and get them if we do.

Wilkins job was to manage the team..
