Starting to think we dodged a hell of a bullet with this one
Greenwood I’ll give you but Wahi? Currently playing for France in the Olympics. He’s played for them at every level except full so clearly the French FA aren’t that bothered.Starting to think we dodged a hell of a bullet with this one
We will always have the European adventure and the season that led to it. However it ended, it was a fan bloody fantastic ride way beyond my wildest expectations. A bullet I am glad we didn’t dodge!Starting to think we dodged a hell of a bullet with this one
1) he wasn’t, unless you think Tony wasn’t entitled to the £5 mill Marseille paid us, in which case feel free to take it up with him.Blimey, is this thread still going on? Not read all the pages / subsequent posts since it was first published. Therefore if someone wouldn’t mind clearly summarising the latest please ie;
Why was he sacked?
Now that we are all in total agreement that he was sacked, I think we should turn our attention to the question of exactly how he was sacked. He was definitely sacked, though. Definitely.
Traditionally you are invited to a curly Cumberland sausage at the Itty Bitty Chef on the A23 I believeNow that we are all in total agreement that he was sacked, I think we should turn our attention to the question of exactly how he was sacked.
Anyone know?
Maybe in Dick Knight’s day. I like to think Tony would have served the cold dish at The Fat Duck.Traditionally you are invited to a curly Cumberland sausage at the Itty Bitty Chef on the A23 I believe
This. To say otherwise is just ridiculous….We will always have the European adventure and the season that led to it. However it ended, it was a fan bloody fantastic ride way beyond my wildest expectations. A bullet I am glad we didn’t dodge!
Agree almost entirely but like I've amended it because you can't have the good without the bad.This. To say otherwise is just ridiculous….
Great coach, continued the excellent work from Potter and took it to another dimension, left us with a more technically gifted squad, but ultimately did himself no favours by "quietly quitting" after Roma
Great post and me too….Agree almost entirely but like I've amended it because you can't have the good without the bad.
Like Poyet, RDZ had 80% of his time defined by some of the best football I'd ever seen (at the time) and put Brighton on bigger and bigger maps and those are the memories I keep. The 20% of wanging on in the press about glass ceilings, transfer policy, publicly sulking, flirting with "bigger" and playing the blame game get dimmer and dimmer as the mists of time descend.
What I will remember in 10 years isn't the ending, it's the feeling I had for 6-12 months that we were almost unbeatable, fearless and aggressive and took our game to the biggest and best teams in world football and often won (unless Dyche rocked up with a 10-deep low block and a ruthless counter)
Quite, there was quite a bit of toys and prams after RomaGreat post and me too….
Not sure he quietly quit
Because he's a massive c&£t.Why was he sacked?
This. RDZ was the best coach we ever hadHe did push the club to raise the bar . It will be interesting watching Marseille this season .
To date, yes. Highest ever PL position and first time qualifying for Europe. You can't argue with that.This. RDZ was the best coach we ever had
Not to mention topping a Europa League group. To date, yes. Highest ever PL position and first time qualifying for Europe. You can't argue with that.
(Only a fool would and I'm sure he will be along shortly with his laughing emoji)
