I did not know that, cheersIndeed. Apparently Luther was just training the backing singers and was not meant to be on the track. Bowie walked past the room they were rehearsing in and said he wanted Luther to be in the backing singers for the track.
Very probably on here already (sorry, not checked) but the video (and the lyrics) from Lazarus, the last track of Backstar is somewhat haunting given the turn of events since it was released only a few days ago...

He never ever impressed me either as a musician or a person. I guess we're all entitled to our own opinions.
I feel very sorry for you. I can't imagine what it must be like to be someone who's not remotely touched by the chap's work. Enjoy whatever it is that you do like.
