He definitely is, Mini has just turned 18 and knows a lot about Bowie and has several of his tracks on his iPhone.

You could argue it was parental influence however a month or so ago I looked at what he had on his iPhone musically and was quite stunned how diverse and what era it covered which suggests we under estimate what the youth of today actually appreciate musically.

Oldest young Potting is learning the guitar. Interestingly the two tracks she had to study for her recent grade exam were "All Day And All Of Night" and a track by Cream, forget which one. Next grade book has "Money", the Pink Floyd one and "Parisienne Walkways". Perhaps the compilers of the books are trying to subvert a love of classic rock into the students. She had an electric guitar for Christmas and I am waiting to hear the familiar ones of the "Smoke on the Water" riff in due course!
