Why all this snobbery? I've got pretty good taste buds thank you, both for food and drink. I have tried real ale, I just dont like it. And I dont like the snobbery which goes with it, or the horrible chubby greasy haired people that tend to drink the stuff. The pubs also smell of farts (very been to The Gardeners Arms in Lewes?)

I`ll agree with you over the farting. Had a few friday and am still suffering. Well the wife and kids are.

Been drinking lager for the past 30+ years, only just found a liking for real ale, yes I know it may be an age thing but boy have I got some making up for lost time to do!

2007 was lager / Magners, 2008 was basically a bit of everything but 2009 saw me convert to Dark Star.
