No more signings 'till this is sorted. Christ knows why no signings at all, it's not as though all of it will be given to MM! Surely we have some sort of budget without it, and can sign free agents? Does anyone know if it will be resolved soon, or are we faced with another summer of inaction?

It will be sorted asap.

We are not signing anyone else until we know how much we're getting. No great mystery. If we get, say, £300,000 we can go for player X, if we get £500,000 we can go for player Y. Not really rocket science. DK has already promised that McGhee gets to see some of it. How much, though, is a different matter.

Ken !!!! Bates is going to make this as long and drawn out as he can and everything we get is going to be a struggle imo. Dan Harding is going to find the big wide world outside the Albion in Batesland a bit scary methinks

Like the one when Taylor left and we were promised a new top manager - and got Tinselhead, too late to make summer signings.

As we all know, Knight sold Copout like he would sell any player that he can get a decent fee for. It's lucky for his Mother that she cannot play! :lolol:

I saw that - changing 'Coppell' to 'Taylor'. :p

I was just waiting for someone to spot the deliberate mistake.

Well done that man for paying attention! :lolol:

I would hope that we would get at least £500,000. Anything less would be a rip-off.

:nono:

When Ken Bates was a little boy he was called Master Bates. Thing is it's not a noun now it's verb.

We obviousy have nothing left in the bank to get any new players. So until this is sorted we can't sign anybody. Embarrassing eh?

Yup, another part of the legacy of Archer and Bellend

So before we got the coca-cola money we did not have a penny in next seasons transfer budget then? Can't believe Dodd and CKR used up all the coca-cola windfall myself.

The tribunal will net us 250k at the very least I would have thought and quite possibly much more so although we have lost a player who McGhee says will not be replaced immediately, the club is 500k + better off than they were before the Ipswich game.

Prefer to think that we are aiming much higher than we would have been without the coke money. Having made a signing for the future, we need to know how much we'll get for Harding before finalising an exciting couple of experienced and Championship proven signings. That will still leave far more for the black hole than was expected a few months ago.

It may be a bad situation but would you rather we had the debts of a Leeds or a Cardiff ? Leicester and Derby have huge debts too plus what about Millwall ?

It could be worse.

It could always be worse, and probably will be before it gets better. Come on Falmer.

I expect what ever we get from him will be "undisclosed"

Anything more than £250,000 and it's a result.

Do we have any other less than impressive youngsters to sell off at inflated prices???

We could give Peter Taylor a cut each time as long as he calls them up for the under 21s
