Seems that Damian Green spends most of his working day viewing pornography at the taxpayers expense and then lies about it when accused of doing so.

Anyone think that is acceptable behavior?

Personally don't mind him looking at porn in his own time, possibly even the occasional glance whilst at work is ok too, but several hours and presumably regularly too, and then to lie about it, not really on IMO.

I think i read that all the content was legal. As in many cases if it is proved he did do it, the cover up rather than the initial incident will be what does for him

The thing is I think it is accepted that tons of porn was on his computer, he just says it wasn't him who accessed it, but this detective has come out and said it was accessed whilst he was logged on and using his computer to do actual work?

Police investigation though? Sounds like a waste of their time to be honest, or is everybody who looks a porn at criminal to you?

This, currently. Any offence should have been dealt with in 2008. Ex-coppers can't just start spouting allegations nearly ten years later.

So, what are people upset about?
1. He’s been using the internet to do non work stuff? Er, yes, like most people do.
2. He’s been viewing porn? Wow, hold the from page. He has a sexual appetite and likes a bit of porn.

So, only those who have not done either should be able to say he should be sacked. I don’t go for all this “They should be setting standards” crap.

BTW, as a politician, he really doesn’t inspire me. But then again, looking across all political parities, not many do. Maybe they’re always been a bad choice overall and it’s only nastalgia when we look back and think they were principled. They probably werrn’t, but the level of scrutiny was much lower then and more deference to those in authority.

It's bad all round, Green has been naughty when he should have been working and the ex-copper must surely be breaking some kind of rule(s) for revealing the confidential results of an investigation. No chance of anyone looking at porn in my place, it's impossible to even get the BBC thanks to all the protocols and firewalls.

Have you ever used the internet at work for non work stuff during work time? That was question 1 of the 2 questions BTW.

If so, then I assume you’d be sacked, as I would think that would be against official company proactice after all, you’re paid to work and not surf the internet surely.
