I hope you enjoy it. Sounds ideal if you get loads of snow up there. Not exactly ideal conditions for a road bike, so fair play to you

Ohhhhh, I tried riding with skinnier knobbly tyres last winter. I bruised my face (and ego).

Great weekend of Paris Roubaix...it was all a bit mental though wasn't it?!
I prefer a dry & dusty l'Enfer tbh, but yesterdays race was superb...carnage from start to finish. Brilliant stuff.

Last week my boss described this as a "pile of junk".....yes, he meant the bike.



Well Mr Boss man - this pile of junk is doing brilliantly getting me around in these ridiculous weather conditions since I threw my leg over the top tube again after surgery. Commuting on it is a joy - and has probably saved me another £1k+ on a "proper" gravel / winter bike.

I dont care if it only cost c.£100 & weighs a slighty hefty 12kg, it just feels great to be back out on two wheels after a summer ruined by poor health....so there.

You really are rather good at that.

I ought to give you Jnrs vintage Specialised hardtail and some cash just to see what you give me back.

He's trashed the components but it's a lovely bike which I can't bring myself to dump.

But all being well I won't have any time next year to do anything with it, myself.

All I can say is...."It was a simpler time in the 80s MTB world"...

Give me a modern bike with disc brakes etc. and I wouldnt have a Scooby Doo!

French woman goes on trial for the TDF crash.

I see the Tour de France route was revealed this morning. Start in Denmark, head towards cobbles and then Planche des Belle Filles, before Alpe d'Huez. Time trail (once more) on the day before Paris.

I have been a bad cyclist this year - only getting out once! I am blaming the young'un for joining a football team. Hopefully I'll be better next year.
