And finally.

A short 2 mile spin around the village and the shoes were great.
Worryingly I put on a pair of cleats without paying to much attention thinking I'll make the necessary changes afterwards and even they were spot on.

I'll have a full ride on Monday but as it stands I'll tentatively give these a big if your looking for a shoe upgrade.

This. Usually a 43 but 44 in sports shoes.

Maybe a tiny bit of 'space' in the heel when wandering around the house, but that completely disappeared when riding.

I'd say if you're confident in your shoe size then stick with your actual size, but any doubt I'd just go up 1 Euro size, not a full uk one.

Watching the highlights last night I thought I recognized #192 on the attack for Trek Segafredo. Julien Bernard? Not the son of one time great French hope J-F Bernard surely? Yep...spitting image of dear old Papa, & not doing too bad in 37th place.

Very proud of the lad, despite the moaning on about his knee

65 lumpy miles is by far his longest ride to date.

I'll be scrutinizing the route when I eventually get it onto Strava as I'm sure they've changed it over the last 2 years.
